      Any real comprehension of time?

This morning I had a lucid dream that was largely dominated by the prevailing notion that my dream was about to come to an abrupt end soon because of my alarm clock. This was not a delusion, as I really did set my alarm to wake me because I would need to get up early this morning. I believe this dream occurred upon returning to sleep after a brief mid-morning awakening.

In the dream, I was able to achieve some of what I wanted to, however, I couldn't stop thinking about and keeping track of the time in the waking world since I would soon have to get up. I tried to rid myself of this because it was a distraction, but to no avail.

When I really woke up, (after battling attempts by my mind to have me falsely believe I had awakened) my alarm clock read ten minutes until the designated alarm time. From within my dream, it seems I had been able to establish a relatively accurate connection with the waking world- via time.

Dreams are infamous for their unique ability to heavily distort time and dimensionality. I was curious to hear of any similar experiences you may have had with time and lucid dreams or related subjects.

This happenes to me alot. Many times i will set my alarm clock and i will wake up 5-10 minutes before it goees off just because i did the act of setting it the night before. Its like taking notes in a class. Usually i take notes because the act of writing them down is what makes me remember the material, rather than reading them later on.

Well, what I am really looking for is if you have ever experienced a lucid dream in which you were consciously keeping track of real time throughout the progression of the dream. The subconscious act of waking up shortly before an alarm clock sounds was really only part of what I was trying to describe. Also, I am wondering about any other interesting parallels you may have observed between a lucid dream and the waking reality that was occurring at the same time.

For example, I had a dream last night in which the outcome of the dream was being dictated by the television I had left on before I went to sleep. It was like a narration, and it was actually quite agitating.

So have you ever experienced a lucid or non-lucid dream that was profoundly affected by your waking reality? I find the idea of two interacting dimensions, so to speak, pretty fascinating.

Yeah, well i havent had very many lucids, but once in a non lucid the radio was playing right next to my head in real life, and in the dream my cousins were all dancing and singing along to this mexican song that was on the radio, which they would never do in real life.

in my last ld i thought in the end that it lasted 1 hours...When i woke up, i sw in my clock that it laster 58 mins (it was WBTB ROLLING WILD)...

My compreension of time in lucid dreams and dreams are so close to reality time...

I can estimate the time of my normal dreams, and can estimate the time that has passed in a lucid dream...
