      Dream Journal and Dilding

What is the link between them. Is it to find dream signs, so you can RC to them in real life?

      Yup.

Take a look at your dream journal
What shows up more often than others?
Sounds like a dream sign to me
      Reality check

Thanks man (: Swords, and my parents would be some good dream signs. My mom made me lucid in two LDs. God bless her soul But most times, I wake up, and I have no memory about any kind of dream what so ever, is there any way of fixing this other then dream journal :/

That's one of my biggest hurdles, as well. I am lucky if I even remember just a small fragment of a dream, let alone the whole thing.

It helps me remember more dreams. If I slack on the DJ, instances of recall drops sharply.

I personally find that aspect more important than dream signs, but they both are valuable to have working for you! It's a win/win situation to keep a journal!

Reality checks are usually more successful for me when DILD'ing. Unfortuantely none of my dream signs ever tip me. It's usually something I would have never gathered from a past dream, like coming home and no door, or everything rearranged in the house.

You talk to vacuum cleaners and safes, you've had apple trees growing in your living room, tigers and horses in your dining room, an elephant in your bedroom. I've seen you locked in a jail in the middle of your living room and once someone swore they saw you floating in mid-air! How do you explain that, Major Nelson!?

the dream journal is key. it increases dream recall. the more you remember your dreams the better chance you have at becoming lucid

keeping a dream journal gets old real fast. I don't bother writing anything down anymore, I just take a few minutes after I wake up and go over the dream in my head a few times trying to remember as many details as I can. it seems to have helped my recall and I've recognized a few signs. plus i don't have to worry about people snooping and making fun of me for keeping a "super gay diary"
