      Dream spinning problems.

Man, I'm having a hard time doing this dream spining thing. Are there any good alternatives to it? Such as rubbing your dream hands? So over the past 2 weeks, or since I've become a member here I've had 3 lucid dreams, only remember having 4 dreams total though. I'm a procastornator and still haven't even worked on dream recall yet. I'm guessing I'm just a somewhat natural lucid person. Anyways, the only thing I've been doing in my dreams is reading things because it's so damn cool looking. I never knew words changed like that in a dream. I'll be in the middle of a dream, then I get bored for a second and think "Man, wtf am I doing here? Better read something real quick and see if it changes. Yep, looks awesome." Then I end up just going with the dream. I really haven't gotten excited or anything though whenver this happens. I've obtained complete control twice in my life that I can think of, but I'm sure with alittle practice I can achieve it alot more often.

But anyways, my dreams start to fade shortly after I obtain lucidity, so I try and spin, but it keeps fading, then I wake up and go "Damn, now I gota fall back asleep". To be honest, I kind of forgot what it feels like to spin in a circle. So are you supposed to be pretending you moving your legs around to spin in a circle on the spot, are you supposed to pretend your feeling the g forces from spinning on the spot, or are you supposed to pretend your getting dizzy or what?

Anyways, thanks to those who answer.

      Hey bomber

Firstly - if your body wants to wake up, you're gonna be screwed no matter what you do. Re-entry is your only option

      Other alternatives are:
      - Scream out 'CLARITY' (or something equally lame). In my dreams I get the bonus of pretty green forcefield SFX
      - Look at your hands, and run them along the rough walls and floors. Make sure you smell the wall, look at the texture... hell... lick it too

Those work quite well for me

Spinning can be a bit unpredictable, at least for me anyway. While I've read that any physical movement within a dream can be helpful, I've found that stomping my feet really does the trick. As soon as the dream starts to fade, I look down at my feet and start stomping as hard as I can. Usually I'll just stomp with one foot at a time, usually my right foot. Anyway... with each stomp, the feeling, sound and imagery, should become clearer. Sometimes I'll be stomping so hard that when the dream snaps back into focus, I'll find that my stomping is sending tremor like shock waves through the ground around me.

      Good Luck!

Sounds like a good idea, the stomping
      Haven't heard that one before

Well, I tried the touching the wall stuff today, at first it didn't seem like it was working, but then it did. I'll have to try the stomping thing next time. Yeah, it was a pretty cool dream. I painted an abstract picture and signed it, but my signature kept changing on me when I tried to read it. Then later I was looking in a mirror. I was poping my head in and out of the view of the mirror like that Conan O'brian guy does with the camera all the time, except everytime I looked in the mirror I had a different haircut. I still have to try flipping a light switch.

I noticed alot of the times in my dreams, I'll be aware that I'm dreaming, but I don't really do anything about it. I usually just go along with whats happening, having some control. I really never tried changing the setting or anything.
