      A Few Questions

Ok, well I have a few questions. As you can tell, I'm very new to DV and Lucid Dreaming. I find it completely fascinating! I just have a few questions about Lucid Dreaming, and techniques.

1: I heard there are some things you can take before going to bed to improve dream recall, such as vitamins or supplements. What are some of these?

2: When you enter a Lucid Dream for the first time, what are some key things to remember? How do you stay calm? How do you make sure you don't destroy the dream?

3: When attempting to WBTB, what are some tips to remember? Last night, I attempted to WBTB, I was very relaxed and very calm. I knew I wouldn't fall asleep because I was keeping my mind busy. Was it ok that I kept my mind busy? I tried to keep still, but I had to swallow a few times. How do I know when I successfully enter SP? I ended up moving, because I thought I had it. But when I realized there was nothing there, I went to sleep.

For your first question there is a thread to help you out http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=56235 this should tell you all the important aids to dream recall and you help increase lucidity.

For your second question just sit down for a couple minutes before you decide to start doing stuff. Just sit down, make sure the dream is stable, make sure its realistic, then go have some fun

As for your last question it seems like that was a wild you were attempting, or a WBTB combined with a WILD, you may have actually had it, did you do a RC when you moved? WBTB is when you get up 2 or so hours ealy and then stay up for about 90 minutes then go back to sleep.

      1) there is a list here

      2) Well, you just need to keep calm, don't get over exited. Just stay where you are and collect your thoughts for a bit. Then stabilize the dream, like rub your hands and spin around.

      3) Well, I think what you meant to say was WILD, not WBTB.

WBTB is just the action of waking up for a while in the middle of your sleep cycle.

But assuming you are talking about WILD, there are different ways you can do it. Like you can visualise stuff etc. But if I were you, read this.

Yeah, you would WBTB (Wake Back To Bed) for you to be able to WILD. WILD hardly ever works without doing it.

here is more info on WBTB.

Oh, so I have to WBTB first, then be able to WILD?

Yes, most likely. Some people are able to do it without doing WBTB, but it is a very small minority.

My ad advice is to wake up after about 4-5 hours of sleep. Then stay awake for about 30-60 mins. Then attempt the WILD.

On number 3 I think you should keep your mind clear. When you moved you should have done a reality check like suggested above. Maybe it was successful but you didn't know it? Anyway good luck!
