Lucid Dreaming With My Eyes Open?!

This was at least the second night in a row that I had lucid dreams (well, morning really).

I actually became lucid because I was thinking about a dream I had just got done having, and I realized that it had been a dream. So then, I noticed something similar about what was happening right then and concluded that this also was a dream. Anyways, just for fun I tried to see how many times I could say "I know that I'm in a dream" aloud. However, after maybe 1 or 2 times it became almost impossible.

Then I went straight into a false awakening, but retained my lucidity. In this FA I was lying on my back in my bed looking straight up at the ceiling. You know how in the morning there can be reflections from car windows that shine onto the ceiling? I was looking at one of those. It was pretty realistic, but I tested reality by making part of my body float in the air, so I knew I was still dreaming.

Here's the thing though. It seemed like my eyes stayed open, but suddenly I was awake. (Though maybe I had "blinked" just for a split second) But it's like there was no change in the appearance of the room! I was still looking up at that exact same spot of light on the ceiling, and it hadn't changed. Everything looked identical to how it was in my FA, and it seemed to flow right into real life seamlessly.

This makes me wonder if I had my false awakening with my eyes actually open. Maybe this is what some people mean when they say "Waking Dream". I honestly don't know.

I never heard of someone Lucid Dreaming with their eyes open.
Perhaps you just fell asleep in the exact same spot and the ceiling was the last thing your saw before falling asleep.

You have to remember that dream memory is a bit vague at best, maybe your just filling in the blanks spots where your not suppose to be.
