      Smile A Few Questions.

First of all, I'm sorry if I haven't been here in a long time, it's just that I haven't had much to talk about.

Anyways, I have become lucid a few times, mostly only by pure luck, and the longest I've been Lucid is at least a couple of minutes I think. But during the times I've been lucid or before I became lucid in my dreams, these things have happened to me and I would like to know if they have happened to anyone else.

      1. Tried to do something in your lucid dream, but realized you didn't have that much control over it, even though you tried to be calm.

2.Tried the spinning technique but got dizzy anyway.

3.Became lucid with no effort at all, you were just walking around in your dream and something in the back of your mind just snapped, and you just suddenly realized it.

4.Started controlling things in your dream but didn't realize you were lucid until later.

      and finally.

5.Doing things in your lucid dream like control or stabilization techniques, but them some a**hole dream character comes along and says "stop that" or "why are you doing that" and messes with your head and convinces you or tries to convince you that you are not dreaming.

I know I'm not the only one these things have probably happened to, and I would like to know your experience.

      Thank you.

No need to apologise, nor to condemn people for not posting on a particular forum.

      1) Must have happened to everyone, especially when still getting to grips with dream control. It's a thing of the mindset and you'll get better at your approaches and expecting them to work.

      2) I don't remember if it was dizziness, but my early attempts with spinning didn't work out that well so I no longer bother with it.

      3) Not really. Either there was something there to trigger it in the dream (like a life or death situation, an odd feeling conversation or me doing a reality check), or I've been lucid in the dream for as far back as I can recall it (a rare occurrence for me, and it's usually a dream with low lucidity and low realism).

      4) Controlled things without realising I was dreaming at all. Even stopped time once thinking to myself: "Since I'm in a dream...", yet without becoming lucid.

      5) I had just recited my list of verbal commands for stability, vividness, etc (am I the only one who feels like a fantasy mage reciting a list of buff spells before battle?) and as I was walking along the first street I ran into classmate A who asked me whether I wouldn't be attending the farewell party for classmate B. Actually made me feel bad and go to that party (bye bye lucidity). So yeah. Avoid such DCs if you can.

Oh yeah, this will happen to everyone at some point. Whether they have been LDing for years or just started yesterday. Don't get discouraged, just keep practicing and these obstacles shall be overcome.

Never gotten dizzy, but I have definately gotten stuck in the spinning motion. I tried to spin to teleprt somewhere (which failed miserably) and I was stuck spinning in circles for half my dream, lol.

3.Became lucid with no effort at all, you were just walking around in your dream and something in the back of your mind just snapped, and you just suddenly realized it.
Oh yeah! Nothing like a good 'ol effortless free pass to lucidity. It happens quite often to me.

4.Started controlling things in your dream but didn't realize you were lucid until later.
I was making RPG-like enemies appear around me and was battling them for a good while before I realized I was dreaming. Its kind of crazy how the mind has so much trouble distinguishing between reality and absolute insanity, lol.

      and finally.

Yeah, some of those DCs are indeed, bastards! I tend to try and ignore DC advice/suggestions. It almost seems like your mind will do whatever it can to keep you out of lucidity sometimes.

I know I'm not the only one these things have probably happened to, and I would like to know your experience.

      Thank you.
These are a few of the many obstacles that come with lucidity. Practice and experience are the best way to counter these. Good Luck in your future efforts!
