I think I had an OBE last night

So I woke up around 4am, and I went back to sleep. I felt SP coming along so I went along with it—it felt as if something was turning my body over. Usually when I go through SP I keep my eyes closed, but I decided to open them this time. When I opened them, I was standing at the foot of my bed looking at someone (me) sleeping in my bed. It freaked me out, so I "jumped" back into bed.

      It was really weird.

It is definetly a trip. The only problem is that it's hard to determine whether or not they were just lucid dreams and it's not scientifically possible to prove. This is really a contradicting issue in our community but that's why we have a beyond dreaming section. Feel free to check that out when ever.

I don't want to claim that I had one, but one time I was taking a nap and I said to my self "lucid dreaming is easy, and I have them all the time" and I ended up having like 3 lucid dreams and one of them was like an OBE.

I felt the sensation of floating off the bed, sunk back in and got up. Then I looked down on me and my girlfriend who were sleeping together and everything was the way it was suppose to be except the window. It was just a bright light and I decided to fly through but I ended up waking up.

It was the weridest nap I had in my life. Again I'm still going to just call this lucid dreaming. It was fun though.

false awakening/LD definitely. the only way to state with any authority that it was an actual OBE was if you saw something during this OBE which later turns out indeed did occur in real life. All scientific experiements in this regard are at best inconclusive.

even just 1 hour ago I woke up from a series of incredibly vivid false awakenings where I floated to the ceiling and stuff and it was just like real life - the trick is not to confuse such things with actually going out of your body. your mid created an image of yourself in bed cause you assumed you were having an OBE and expected it to be there.

TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

Or maybe it was an out of body experience. Don't discount the unnatural.

It probably was an OBE as I always feel my astral body turn over in a weird way especially during meditation and after SP, you feel you are being detached from the physical body. I see you did mention that you felt your body move over and you saw yourself which I have experience this many time. Most people who are not familiar with OBE will just say it's a vivid Lucid Dream.

I love you lol, its good to see others on this site moving on in their awakenings, lucid dreaming is only a step in the path to enlightenment.

It was so creepy feeling that! I had that happen to me about a few weeks ago, too. I felt the sp, and instead of my body feeling like it was being turned over (onto my belly) like this most recent occassion—it felt like it was being turned in a counter-clockwise motion. I was too freaked out to open my eyes though.

I've always been highly interested in OBEs. This is exciting

Once you have one, it's easier to do another, and another...Yes, that counter-clock wise motion will happen as the astral body is starting to detach and when you first experience it it will always feel like this. Also you will feel there's no up or down anymore as far as the X Y Z axis. Very weird feeling but with more experiences you will get use to it.
