      What to do from here?

Hi all, Im new to the forum. I bought stephen le berges book two weeks ago and starting reading abit on a night before bed, I started doing reality checks and telling myself while awake to remember my dreams and realise I was dreaming and about a week after starting I had my first lucid dream.

I woke up( thought I did anyway) tried the lamp by my bed and it didnt work so I got out of bed and tried the bedroom light which did not work either. I finally tried the landing light which again didnt work and it was at that point I realised I was dreaming. From there I went out of my bedroom window and continued being lucid as I walked round talking to people(one an old friend who died years ago). I went in to a house where the hall light was on and tried the switch and guess what, it didnt turn the light off. ( i think its safe to say that light switches not working is a good dream sign for me!). Then I woke up. It was insane when I relised I was dreaming, I told one of my friends in the dream that I was dreaming and he just laughed at me as if I was mad!.

Anyway Im not quite sure what to do from here?, Ive not had one since but my goal is to be able to have lucid dreams whenever I want, shall I just keep doing the reality checks e.t.c or do I need to do other things to increase the frequency of the dreams?. It was a week tonight since my first and other than a few normal dreams no sign of another one yet?.

Ive proved to myself I can lucid dream but Im now abit irritated that Ive not had another one since.
Any help or advice will be much appriciated. Cheers.

      Congrats!

I would check out the MILD method, along with the DILD. Those two together seem to be an excellent combination for beginners.

Your first few lucids are probably going to be relatively far apart (at least a week), but perhaps not. Keep with the methods you're using, and you'll be fine.

      Good luck!

You should set yourself some more goals, they keep you going and make your lucid dreams longer. For example, you can try doing Task of the Month, or some other like flying. I personally suggest you to try making the leaves drop from a tree and then putting them back, it's cool

Check out the WBTB tutorial and WILD tutorials. I just had my first lucid a few days ago using lucidology 101 videos on youtube. Have fun dreaming
