Thread: Anybody like an electronic dream journal?

Ok so i guess im interested well what exactly is an electronic dream journal.

Oh, haha sorry i guess i didnt really explain properly. I didnt want people to think electronic dream journal as in some portable thingo, just meant a dream journal for computer. I guess you could use word or something if you wanted to... but i thought itd be cool to have a little program just for the sole purpose of dream recording with features that people would like and want in it.

u mean u are going to program youre own program? cool idea, but i think there already are some good programs like that on the internet... but of course u can do one thats even better

Oh really..well hmm i didn't really know that.. it was just an idea that came to me. But yeah well if there are ones on the net that are good, i wanna make mine better, so please if anyone has any features they'd like in it to make it "good".. then yeah feel free to say it.

There are about..about three Dream Journals on the internet that I can think of. They are:

IDXLOG - Free, Discontinued as far as I am aware. Was completely hosted on this forum, pratically.
LIQUID DREAMS II - Free (w/ crack), Discontinued as far as I am aware
THE OTHER ONE I CAN'T REMEMBER- Costs Money, "Best", Discontinued as far as I am aware.

As you can tell, none of them really took off.. Doubt working on a new one would get very far either, from my experience... I wouldn't bother, I quite like being able to just keep my Dream Journal on Dreamviews - it suits my needs pretty well.

After reading Kaniaz's post yeah, im still going to do it, even if no one wants it, but if anybody does id just like to let you know that im almost finished the basics, and if you have any ideas tell me quickly!

Kaniaz, can you remember which one it was that searched for common themes and found dreamsigns? That one hellped so much, but I can't for the life of me remember which one it was.

a feature to put in: possibility to draw pictures in the program and include them to a dream. doesnt have to be something special, just a paint-like little thing, maybe with just two colours. but maybe its too hard to fix, i dont know...

Yeah, thats a good idea, if that ios too hard to do, possibly have a sort of picture album on each page, that that user could put pictures them made in paint in.

neither can I - the liquid dream II one had something about dreamsigns, but nothing advanced like searching them out for you...it might have though. Not sure.

Right I'm going to have to search this one out. Either way, it could be an idea to put one in this one, say fdor example, it would look for words or phrases used most often.

Yeah i can implement a paint feature into it..

Andyeah.. i could have a page with a summary thing, to show like the most commonly used word or something or other.
