astral projection

So i heard about astral projection for the first time back in september from someone who is pretty experienced. That night I looked it up and read a lot about it and decided to give it a try. The very first time I tried I was in the vibrational state right away..less than 10 seconds..with absolutely no previous knowledge or practice I remember there being a point where I had to choose between leaving my body or staying cuz there was this amazing force pushing me out I can't really stress how intense the vibrations were with words but I just became so scared and I immediately decided to come "back" to my body. Since then I havent been able to do it at all except for having some pretty cool lucid dreams. In one of them I am on a pier that never ends with my best friend and a teacher I can't stand. For some reason the teacher is talking about the importance of fitness meanwhile I remember feeling so real i could sense my body perfectly i even remember stretching out my muscles. The sky was the most amazing emerald green lava sorta tone. All around me is this murky water that reflects perfectly this emerald green sky and in the water is this beaver just floating around. I started to wonder how strange it was that a beaver would be in the water.. and just like that I am Lucid. This being my first lucid dream it was very short but I remember just standing there for a second and just taking in all my surroundings..the sky was the most beautiful thing i have ever seen..then all of a sudden i go third person and my whole body becomes an orange flash and a i wake up. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything that may be holding me back from achieving this vibrational state maybe a subconcious barrier I may not be aware of. Any tips u might have are appreciated. thanks

Wow. That dream is so beautiful. The vibrational state is called Sleep Paralysis. there are many great tutorials here for inducing it.
