      When I was very small, (6 or 7) I ALWAYS woke myself up from nightmares. Sometimes I miss that ability.

      Yes ive forced myself awake a few times, primarily because I have found myself caught in dull DEILD/false awakening loops.

      Its a feeling I liken to pushing off from the seabed to get to the surface.
      Though instead of reaching the surface I reach my body.
