      WILD or DILD?

Ohk.. So last night I thought i will have a WILD attempt, I woke up at 2:30 AM and began to say to myself "I will have a Lucid Dream".
I feel asleep very fast and the next thing i know I'm standing behind the local shop. I have extremly bad dream Recall so I was wondering.

Could i have such bad dream recall that I forgot my dream up until i became Lucid?

      Thanks, Dylan.

What you did sounds like a MILD to me.

The reason I say that is because with a WILD, there is never a break in consciousness. That is, you are "aware" from the second you lay down to the second you wake up from your lucid dream.

So yeah, it's very possible you didn't remember what happened before you became lucid, or it's possible that you started out lucid in the dream. But since you fell asleep (I assume that there was a period of black out in between the WILD attempt and the dream) and THEN became lucid, technically not a WILD, unless I misunderstood your description.

But anyway, congrats on the lucid! WILDs are great and all, but remember that DILDs can be every bit as long and vivid under the right conditions, so it's something to be very happy about.
