Well, when someone has their first Lucid Dream, it lacks in realism. But, as you progress, learning more techniques and having more LD's, they begin to be alot more like real life. So, the answer to your question is the more you do them, the better

In my experience, lucid dreaming is as vivid and (un)realistic as any other dream, most of the time...except for the rare WILDs (wake-induced lucid dreams) where I fell into REM sleep rapidly and remember having fallen asleep. Those are often a bit less vivid and stable than other lucid dreams.

And flying is awesome! It's almost like there's no gravity, but not quite because you don't get nauseous. Gravity works well enough to keep your internal organs and sense of balance happy but does not force you to stay on the ground.

No dream goals at the moment...just flying and letting stuff happen is kinda fun, and it's hard to motivate myself to try LDing lately.

To be honest, the first 2 times I was lucid, it felt as if everything were MORE real than in real life. As if I wore glasses which made everything clearer.

Maybe I am the only one?

      Welcome!

Dreams and lucid dreams can all be less realistic, as realistic or more realistic than real life. Normally it is easier to have more realistic dreams in LDs because during lucid dreams your are conscient and more aware of your surrundings. Touching stuff helps make everything more vivid. Most people rub their hands for that.

In some cases though, it can seem even more so, more vivid, more realistic, though it's never quite as logical, thank -higher being of your choosing-

It varies for everyone. You can take vitamin B supplements or enriched foods to make them more vivid if you'd like. Generally, they are very vivid, especially if you rup your hands together.

dream-like? That doesn't mean anything when you know what dream-like is, lol! It can mean "not so vivid", "vivid like reality" or "more vivid than reality!"

Honestly it varies from person to person and dream to dream. Usually your first couple are bad but then it gets better.

Sit still and think about what you did yesterday, how does it feel in your memory. This is what lucid dreams feel like. See it as if you could imagine it, then go to a place where you can play out the imagination. This can also breech your morals. What you do in a dream, there are no laws to convict you. So feel free to do what you will. Some things that happen to you, you can feel for hours or even months after the dream. It stores in your central nervous recall.

Well, for beginners I'd call it surreal. That is, of course, if it is unstable. Which at a starting point it usually is.

On the contrary, my first LD was the most vivid I've ever had. For me Lucid Dreaming is every bit as real as real life (except for a couple dreams)
And now.. for a Stephen Strutmeyer Film...

For me it's been extremely realistic. In some of the dreams I have I just spend time checking out the detail (Like kneeling on the sidewalk and looking at the fine structure of the pavement up close). I've gotten to the point where i can feel extremes of temperature (heat or cold) as well.

It depends on the person. Sometimes (from what i hear) it can be realistic like real-life to blurryness and weird people.

*This thread has been created too many other times to count*

Look around, smell the air, listen, touch everything around you.

That is how realistic it can be.
