First LD lasting more than a minute! :D

Well, name says it all. I wasn't trying for it, I remember i was flying around in a room, and suddenly, "hey, wait a minute", and there I was..

Now my experience, i feel, wasnt that, vivid? (not sure what is the right word)
Well, it's like, I expected it to be like how it would be in the real world, where I can feel everything. Thing is, don't remember feeling anything.

I tried flying, and even though I lifted off the ground, I was going here and there, not in the direction I intended. And, throughout the dream, I was not completely in grip of it, I can say it was more just "awareness" of being in a dream. And like I said, I couldn't feel anything. I didn't feel the wind in my face while flying. Only thing I do remember feeling was stones on the ground when i landed (for a brief second), maybe because I saw the stones there and I expected to feel it?

Towards the end, I wanted to change where I am, so closed my eyes, mentioned my native country, and I found myself in a random place there. (Guess I have to be more specific?) Then My dream faded and I woke up.

So, this "not feeling" is a limit to lucid dreaming? Or have i not reached its full capacity?

This was couple of days ago, no luck after that!

First of all, good job on having a Lucid Dream that lasted more than a minute! The vividness and touch will increase the more you do it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the induction technique you use determines a lot of the clarity of the dream?

I couldn't provide a source for the life of me but I remember reading that DEILDs and WILDs produce more vivid lucids than do DILDs because the logic core of your brain was working from consciousness directly to the dreaming state, whereas in DILDs your logic center is initially turned off and you must realize that you're dreaming...

Oh don't worry. This is what happened to me when I first started LDing. I was kinda disappointed. However as u get more experienced in LDing your mind begins to fill in the "blanks". Think about this, have u ever been in a non lucid dream that seemed very real when u were there? If so, that means there is potental for realism. Take a lot of time to stabilize while u find yourself lucid, observe your surroundings, and think logically.

Thanks! Thing is once I become lucid, I just carry on with the flow without being in much control. I usually forget all that I have read in the forum. I will keep trying!
