So... Question time.
If you are lucid and attempt to summon somebody that you see every day but never up close and you have never really looked at their features so you aren't completely sure what they look like in your conscious mind, when you summon them will they look the same as they do in real life or will their appearance be altered?
It depends. Sometimes I dream about people that I don't know very well, and have never really thought about how they look...and I'm always surprised that my mind creates such a complete and accurate portrayal of this person.
However I've also had dreams about people whose faces I know very well...but had difficulties reproducing them accurately in my dream. Their face will be distorted, or will be constantly changing, or just completely wrong altogether.
Sometimes it seems easier when you approach this issue as if you do not know what anyone really looks like. When you try to tell your mind that you know something, and then try to force that appearance onto a dream character...it gets muddy. But when you just let go, and let things happen naturally, your mind seems to fill in the empty spaces with surprisingly accurate detail.
