Smile Define this type of LDing? (Odd experience)

I'm still new at this so I'm not sure.

I haven't been focusing on LD's, doing RC's or writing down my dreams for a week or so for situational reasons. I've only had a few LDs and they were all DILDs. Last night as I dozed off to sleep I was very tired, then I noticed images beginning to form, that has never happened to me before, but I recognized the occurrence from reading Tutorials. I awoke somewhat, but decided to go back to sleep to see if it would happen again. I started nodding off again, and the images started up once more, this time a little clearer. It soon became clear to me I was LDing once the scene unfolded into a FA, in my dark bedroom with me on my back, but I could still feel the pillow beneath me against my face (I was sleeping on my belly).

Everything was very vague, so I when I tried lift my hands to rub them together/to do a RC, I felt my hands moving in real life against my blanket. So they'd only move in real life rather than in my dream. Maybe I misunderstood, but perhaps SP hadn't set in yet? I just found it odd, and wanted to know a definition for it in case it happens again. Please help if you know?

The only good thing about it was that although the dream was fuzzy I thought not to waste a dream, but to try experimenting. Whilst in my dream room I decided to try teleporting, so I closed my eyes in my dream and visualized a beach I had seen in a picture and when I opened my eyes I was their! So although blurry the experience was very useful.

So if I understand, you were nodding of to sleep, and then you saw images (probably HI), and then you were into a dream? It sounds like a WILD, but you may have been tired from the start, and you immediately went into REM sleep. So, it might be a DILD, but you had more conscious awareness. Sorry if I'm being vague :p, I'm not the most describable person ^^. Congrats on this LD! Maybe someone more experience can give you a better answer . Good luck

You were definitely in SP, so no, your hands were not moving in real life. It is very common, while stuck in SP or during an FA and even some LDs, to experience the sensation that you are moving real body parts. Same goes for speaking...but they're mostly hallucinations. How did you hands feel when you tried to move them? Normal? Were they heavy? Next time you find yourself in that position, try to roll out of bed, and you might find yourself in a SP-induced OBE.

Thank you for the help. When I moved my hands they felt tingly, but that happens all the time to me because
I often cut off the circulation to my hands by lying on one arm like a pillow. I guess that's why
I assumed it was real, since the sensation felt familiar. So from the description I've been
reading I'm assuming I had a short, blurry WILD but I wasn't really trying to. Cool! :D
