Thanks. I do that by having a dream journal right?

      Chelsea,

I find that lucid dreams are easier to remember because they usually happen for me just before I get up in the morning. Also, many lucid dreams end in an awakening which makes them fresh in your concious mind.

Please keep a dream journal, this helps in two ways.

      1. It improves your recall,
      2. With just a few hints from your journal, you will be suprised at how well you can bring to recall dreams that happened months or years ago.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I think lucid dreams are as hard to remember as regular dreams. The difference is that lucid dreams tend to be more meaningful, and thus you'll remember them just like you would remember a meaningful dream. To me, remembering a bland/boring lucid is just as hard as remembering a regular dream.

Recall is directly affected by the dream's vividness, and you can increase vividness in a lucid dream.

Also, let's not forget the fact that you can wake up at will in a lucid dream, which makes it nearly impossible to forget.

Thanks guys, makes me feel better. Why does having a dream journal help improve your recall though?

Dream recall is like dancing or playing an instrument. The more you practice, the better you get at it.

Also, trying to remember your dreams will give your brain a reason to memorize them.

Finally, recording your dreams is good for you to improve your self-knowledge - like which things you do in your daily life affect your dream recall, which make your dreams more vivid, etc.

I know most people are lazy about keeping a dream journal (myself included). You don't need to be organized nor even write a romance every time. Just write enough so you will remember the dream later on. There are tutorials out there for improving dream recall and for keeping dream journals, I suggest you read them.

Well find it easier to remember a Lucid Dream than a normal dream. I think it is because I am more aware when I initially wake up.

For me, it's much easier to remember a lucid dream, because it's not as different from waking memories as regular dream memories. I think the more awake you are, the better your memory is.
