      I think I finally did it...well somewhat.

      So. I attempted SP last night for the 5-6 time and I was aware of my surroundings in waking life, like the hearing the fan. But as I was still laying there with my eyes closed, a dream came onto me while I was still awake and it seemed so real. I was like okay, if this is a dream I'm going to walk over too this dude in the car and punch him in the face, so I started walking over to the car and I went to punch him in the face the dream faded and I was back laying in my bed listening to the fan. My body felt like it was there and I can formed that dream.

      I know it wasn't a false awakening because my girlfriend was laying next to me and I had opened my eyes and everything was back to normal and I was just like ahh shit. I almost had it. I did do a reality check and I was correct, it wasn't a false awakening.

      Am I getting closer?

      That sounds like a brief WILD. Do yourself a favour though, I know it's nowhere near as exciting as hitting a dream figure but next time stay still, take in your surroundings, do a few RCs and get a feel for the dream. Doing something like hitting a dream figure will no doubt wake you up. You need to become accustomed to keeping the dream going and to be honest hitting that guy yanked you out of it.

      I would count it as a success. You did make it, even if it was a very low level dream and you woke up right away. If you keep it up I am sure you will improve.
