      So disappointing...

I just had a great dream last night. Not necessarily great (I was running from the police) but really vivid. I have dreams like that quite rarely. It wasn't intentionally a WBTB but I happened to wake up about an hour before I normally do, then I went back to sleep. The dream felt so real that I actually did a reality check by looking at my hand (not to become lucid but to prove to myself that this was real) and it told me I wasn't dreaming! But I was. When I finally woke up I was pumped with adrenaline, and filled an entire page in my dream journal. On one hand I'm really happy that I remembered to do a reality check but on the other I'm disappointed that my reality check didn't work...

      Any similar experiences?

Sort of. I remember two of my dreams that have a plot so deep I've thought about novelizing them for some time now. I just never get my lazy ass around to doing it.

It's a shame really, I've always excelled in literature and language, I've had a college vocabulary since grade school. None of it matters when you're too lazy to try/finish anything.

With writing I am the exact same way. I'll get these fantastical plot ideas and run them in my head for weeks. But when I finally sit down to write them I usually eek out no more then a page or two.
