      Mum and lucid dreaming

My mum was discussing some dream that she had, and then I was telling her about one of my dreams, and then i asked her has she ever had a dream that the realized she was dreaming and she said Yes, a few times.

I keep my interest in lucid dreaming secret, but maybe I should tell her about it if she has lucids??

And she talks about dreams every now and again, makes me wonder....
Wish me luck on getting my next lucid!

I talk to my dad about lucid dreaming when ever I have one.

He tells me it's actually a normal thing for him now. I really hope it's in the genes! I would love to have my lucid dreaming get better with age. Then I could have something to look forward to for getting old! haha But wait, I heard old people don't sleep well... erm...

I just noticed you posted at 556am, I posted at 655am. haha

p.s. good luck on your next lucid!

I would advise against talking to others about it, it just makes things wierd.

If your Mum happens to be mentioning dreams again at some point, I don't see why you shouldn't bring it up! She sounds like the sort of person who would be interested. I wouldn't go telling random people though, unless you're certain that they'll understand. Some people might just think you're weird!

Your mother sounds like mine. Although my entire family knows I am into lucid dreaming. I've given her the challenge of having a lucid dream and actually doing something fun with it. Usually she gets lucid and then forgets it shortly after because she just rolls with the dream.
I explained to her certain ways to have a DILD. She asks questions and talks about it with me sometimes. Occasionally she shares her dreams with me.

I disagree. Well, I agree for the most part, but I don't think it applies to this situation. If your mom mentions dreams and you know that she's already had lucid dreams before, I don't see why you shouldn't bring it up. She might even be interested in learning how to lucid dream, or she may already be doing it but isn't bringing it up because she thinks it would be weird.
