Dreams are answers to questions we haven't yet figured out how to ask.
Wake up.
I always go to sleep with music playing. Always different genres too. It usually dose not carry over into my dreams. The music i tend to hear in my dreams i have never usually heard before. It is a great experience for me listening to music i have never heard esp when it comes from the dream realm. |

Hit me with music now, oh now, hit me with music, harder, brutalize me". Bob Marley.

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
My Bloody Valentine's cd Loveless feels like a dream. It just seems so surreal. If you haven't checked this cd out, I would recommend it. It's very critically acclaimed, and one listen shows the reason for this. |

That kind of music, massive attack, portishead, trip-hop i think its called sometimes, i listened to a lot for awhile to drown out noise from my roomates when i was trying to sleep. I never really listened to the lyrics, or focused to hard on the music itself, just had it at a low volume level as i fell asleep. I noticed though that my dreams started to become more vivid and my recall was better, but this was before i even started getting into lucid dreaming or dreaming all together, so the fact that i didn't anticipate any reaction to the music and noticed changes in dreaming patterns might say something about it. Just kind of has a mysterious, unusual sound that might put you in a good state for dreaming. I also like listening to sigur ros or some radiohead songs as i fall asleep, but that may be due to the fact that i associate them partially to the movie vanilla sky (related to lucid dreams). I defintly like the sigur ros songs best, the music is beautiful and relaxing, and the fact that the lyrics are in a foreign language allow you not to focus on words that might distract you from your intentions to dream if you're using a mantra or something. |

There was nothing to fear and nothing to doubt...
Hello, I'm new here! |

Opinions are like kittens, we're always giving them away.
Dose anyone wake up with songs they know playing in there head? This morning was classic. To my knowledge i have not heard this song in a very long time and its was playing in my head as soon as i woke. Made me think WTF..... Moonlight Shadow - Mike Oldfield. It sent me on a 80's revival trip...Ha ha. |

usually about 3 or 4 times a week i'll wake with a song in my head. i recall hearing it just before waking. it ranges from all types of familiar stuff and stuff i haven't heard in years. i dont really play music when im falling asleep (occasional instrumental sleep music), but the songs that i hear are clear. on one occasion i even recall singing a song that i didnt know i knew the words to. |

Two bands that remind me of dreaming with at least some of their songs are Moby and Modest Mouse. They're both mostly soft, easygoing music with a slightly unusual sound. Moby does what I think is called House music. Its electronic, but not techno. Usually a slow, steady beat with subdued sound. Modest mouse is a sort of easygoing rock with a sound that I'd just have to describe as dreamy. |

Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

YO, u know what it's like to dream about this really sweet melody, and by the time you wake up, you forgot exactly how it went? One of the most frustrating things I've dealt with, man. |

naturals are what we call people who did all the right things accidentally
I listen to music, all kinds, all day long, hearing music for at least 10 hours a day while working. Every time I fall asleep I have a song stuck in my head and usually it ends up playing fully in my mind, exactly the same as listening to it as I'm in a Hypnagogic state. |

i just woke from a dream listening to Third World. i dont even have a copy of the song, but now i wish i did. |

My favorite for self hypnosis and going to sleep is Sasha's CD, Airdrawndagger. It's really trippy, trancy type music. Very surreal sounds and cool background noises. It really makes me feel like I'm being led on a journey, but that's because I have given myself suggestions in self hypnosis to let the music lead me to the trance state. Really cool CD. |

I always listen to music as I'm going to sleep to increase lucid rates. |

To lucid dream is my real test
To control them is my cause
pink floyd's "dark side of the moon", "wish you were here", or "ummagumma" are my all time fave crash out tunes. |
