Blindness

Has anyone had dreams where they could not see what is going on? I know a few times(alot when I was little) where I had dreams where my eyes are closed and I can not open them or if I do open them, it lasts for a little bit and they close again. A few times in those dreams I can picture my surroundings or sense where I am going, but everything is usually black and I can hear sounds. Most of time in those dreams I spend time trying to open my eyes, ususally with my fingers, but my eyelids are like glued shut. A few times I was successful opening them with my fingers, but it did not last long. Either my eyelids closed or everything just went black. Usually the dreams aren't bad, but it still scares me and I try to get out of those dreams ASAP.

Next time that happens try relaxing and BELIEVING they will open, if you're lucid. I've never experienced anything like that, but usually in nightmares my eyesight will go REALLY blurry.
