      Sorta-Lucid Dream?

So I've been working my dream recall lately.. This morning my roommate woke up and fumbled around.. causing me to half-wake as well. In my half awake state I told myself to lucid dream and to allow my body fall asleep as my mind was still active..

I am not sure if I succeeded in this.. but I began dreaming.

I was sitting in a chair, my arms on the armrest. Then for some really weird reason a pair of legs came from behind my chair, and touched along my side. I turn around and there is some chick behind me.. with her legs extended to my side. I turn back around..

I recall thinking to myself.. who is this chick? And I recall thinking this before having turned around. So I thought this, and then I turned around to see who it was.. but faces were blurry. Then my roommate got a phone call and woke me up.

Was I.. semi-lucid? I've never been able to think of an action (looking behind me) and having it actually happen. Usually it is me following my body and thinking thoughts from a 3rd person perspective.. Note that I never realized I was dreaming this whole time.. I was half asleep and was able to think about turning around.. which did happen.

Actually, if you knew you were dreaming, it was technically a lucid dream.

I'm not sure if I knew whether I was dreaming or not.. I honestly believe that I kind of knew.. but I also can't say "Yes, I knew i was dreaming."

I did have much more awareness and control in the dream than usual though, so I guess for now I"ll just consider it a vivid dream. Thanks guys!

This. All anyone needs to be lucid is to know it's a dream. Control, quality of the dream, and clarity of thought are related to lucidity, but don't necessarily come with lucidity.
