Cant remember to do reality checks?

Hey guys, Maybe you can help me here. Every time I have a dream. I can't seem to remember to do reality checks. In the dream I'm in my own little world. I can't remember if I dreaming or not. I think I'm awake in the dream. But I don't have control over my dream body. It's like watching a free movie. Why can't I remember any reality checks in the dream? I want to become Lucid but I can't remember how to do reality checks at all.

I think it depends which R.E.M you are in, if its a later R.E.M you will have more awareness and control of what is happening, I reccomend reality checking more often in real life whenever anything seems slightly odd, even if your own pet looks at you in an usual way or something, my friend reality checks every time he walks through a door, however repetitive it gets, it also gets stuck in your mind and you constantly do it.

Working out your dream signs also helps you to know when to reality check, a bit more research might help you out, good luck . #

      Hope this was helpful.

Thanks, I'll try to check more often, Even when I'm awake. Some tips usually help me out, I always check digital clocks to see if I'm dreaming or not. And I always check the light switch to see if the lights will stay on when I try to turn them off. Those are some good common ones there. Most of the time I am awake during the day. I don't know how to get full lucid though.

Glad I helped, and don't worry It'll come in time and when you reality check in real life convince yourself you are actually dreaming in real life because if you think its real life then you wont change your mind on whats happening.

Another reality check I do is I push my thumb through my hand and if it goes through then its obviously not real life.

Checking the time or some writing is a good one though.

cool. Yeah usually in dreams if you write something on paper. It will usually end up in different words. Like if you write *What did I do last night?* It would say stuff like. *whz di id o laszt nigtz* or something like that after you write it down. Dreams are really interesting. The last time I had a crow looking at me through my kitchen window from the out side and I realized we don't have crows around here. It's really weird.

Yeah, its a good experience, a brilliant way to relax or let loose if you're frustrated. Good luck with future lucids.
