      Entering Sleep Paralasys

      Hey guys,

I am a new member and last night I think I achieved the state of sleep paralasys. However, It got too scary for me. Do you guys have any tips on convincing myself that nothing will happen?

I started keeping a dream journal the night before, and I am doing Rc's when I think i should, and try to get into a habit of doing so. Lucid dreams are added to my goal list for the year now. So hopefully, I can achieve this feat in the next coming months.

I am happy to be a part of these forums and share these experiences. If you guys have any tips among this matter please share them

I read around, and skimmed through about two pages in each category. However, I dont understand very clearly how to induce these dreams because I think my intake of different methods was to great and my brain could not process them.

Sorry I'm a bit off topic, haha i tend to do that.

      Thanks Guys,
      -Dave

Welcome! It's good to see people interested in Lucid Dreaming.

To answer your question, it takes getting used to. Sleep paralysis is really creepy the first few times and it can get more frightening the longer you are in it without entering a new phase.

Before I came here I had entered sleep paralysis before as a final stage of restorative meditation, but until I read these forums I didn't know what to make of it. Now I'm more used to it, but it still feels weird. You just have to relax and tell yourself that nothing bad will happen.

Best of luck with your dreaming.

Keep at it and you will LD!

Ive been LDing for a long time and I still get this. Some times I'll be dreaming that some one is breaking into my house or somthing and I cant get up and do any thing about it. But I always wake up with a smile on my face thinking, "wow that was cool."
