      dreams from places i dont know

      I wanted to ask this question a long time ago...
      do you ever visit places you never went to?
      for example, i never visited NY city, if i go there in a LD, how close to the real thing will it be?

      My answer is yes, very often, not only in LDs, but also in OBEs. There are familiar places, too, sometimes those places are only familiar, because I visited them in dreams before and very often they represent a variation of a place I know. At many occasions though, the places I go are unknown to me, sometimes utterly alien. I enjoy those the most.

      About the accuracy... even places I know very well are mostly altered in dreams. It takes a lot of concentration for a close and stable resemblance. Anyway, there are no places but virtual ones. Reality is a private show.

      I rarely ever go to places that I have been in real life. I tend to just create a location that suits what I want to do.

      Your mind will generate NY based on information you already know. It won't be the real thing unless you've been there seen it.
