What are your goals in lucid dreaming?

This is half an actuall question and half to help you lucid dream. Why you ask? because when you know what your goals in lucid dreaming are you can attain much more easily. or so i've heard.

      Mine are,
      Number one!
To create a character, in which I could practice real life events, So i'll know what to do if they ever come up.

      Two!
create a few Fictional characters, one or two might be superheros(not like super man that are invincible but like DareDevil that have hardships and trials)

      Three!
To experience stuff I've always wanted to, Such as playing in a National sports league at my current age. (and do well......)

      Four!
And most importantly. To fly! just to soar through the clouds dive bombing! riding thermal! Merh!(merh of happiness)

To me the possibilities are endless. you can dodge bullets and fight the machines like Neo from the matrix. Be a hobbit in the fellowship of the ring.

I know this thread is a little stale, but I'll respond anyway.

      1) Become more proficient at having LDs

      2) Increase control and duration

      3) Learn to shapeshift

      4) Gain mastery over space and time

      5) Hook up with forum members and exchange information that can be verified in the waking world.

      6) Find some way to reconcile what happens in lucid dreams to science. Perhaps through quantum physics.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I'm with Lucius. Greater self-understanding, find proof of other nonphysical realms, communicate with the beyond...

Well, the last time I had a LD I actually did in fact have a lightsaber duel with no less than Jedi Master Mace Windu.

Yes, he was animated. I did very, very poorly.

      hmmm

      Remember all that I am.

Create a universe of my own, that exists on its own, is a part of me but separate, that I can return to and see growth and progress, mebby that will help me see who I am by doing so.

Guess that a lil lofty but hey you gotta go for the gusto =)

      universe created, onward!

I've done all this in dreams...

my goals are more about crossing my lucidity into my waking life more and more. Is there really a difference between lucid dreams and the imagination? They each seem the same to me anymore. So that's what I'm workin on, I have no interest is creation anymore, I want to forget the difference between them all and live peacefully and consistantly with vivid imagination and dreams that ARE my life, not my fantasies.

Hmmm mebby I should have been clearer... Create a universe, that does in fact exist... is not a fantasy =)
I have yet to really create anything sure a few little spells and my familiar and such but some you you speak of creation on such a vast scale... I want to try that hehe

I am tryiing to do the same blu The lines between this and dream are already muddled for me, so why not try and gain lucidity here as well
