The nature of the universe seen lucid

I was at a funeral, I realised that the funeral already happened, I did an unreality check (made a priest disappear) and became aware!
      Finally LUCID again!

I flew away, leaving everyone behind... I tried flying to the edge of the universe, it just went on and on..
I couldn't comprehend the size of it, it dwarfed me no matter how fast I went.
I folded the universe in half under me, I jumped faster than I could fly, I did it over and over and over, seven times I folded the universe in half!
Finally I stood at the edge of the universe looking back, the leading edge moving at the speed of light under my feet, there was nothing to be seen in front of me, no light existed beyond the edge, everything glowed red behind me, blue in front of me
I took careful bearings and determined the universe is expanding. But towards what?
I imagined a line in front of me that went back to my body, I followed the line out of the universe searching for more, as I left our universe I could feel it pulling me, I could feel the gravity of everything pulling me back, but I could feel the gravity of something else pulling me away!
It felt like holding your hand over a drain in a sink, it sucked you towards it, I was being pulled forward and backward,
I moved towards the other force, I couldn't see it but I could feel it...
The distance was enormous, I folded my line over and over crawling towards it,
Pull, gather, fold, Pull, gather, fold
About twenty folds later everything burst into light, another universe was around me!
Everything felt wrong here, gravity was stronger my body (or what I saw as my body) felt denser, light moved slower(?)
I backed out of this universe and gave dimensions to the pull I felt, Everything snapped into focus around me!
Thousands of universes all around me, not seen but felt!
the tear of gravity like light! like sound to a blind man,
I could feel the other universes around me because MY universe expanded towards them!
The edge of our universe is deformed, pulling like taffy towards our nearest neighbour
It is very slight, just the effect of more matter acting on that side can it be measured?

      THERE IS NO DARK MATTER!

WE ARE EXPANDING TOWARDS OTHER UNIVERSES!

THE UNIVERSES THAT SURROUND US ARE WHAT DARK MATTER IS!

There is no good, no evil, just mindless churning boiling matter.
They collide and contract, they throw off excess matter that coalesces into new universes, if they become static they are disturbed by other universes eventually and collapse or explode again,

I'm awake, I brush my teeth, throw up, brush my teeth again and spend the day in fear.
I don't want to dream again...
My only hope is that I decided to go there,
If I do go lucid again I'll spend my time at ancient roman orgys, I will never go to the edge of the universe AGAIN!

That realization came to me outside of a dream, but yeah nihilism can be a very shocking and scary thing to deal with. I sat in complete silence for 4 hours just thinking. There is something very different about hearing the universe and everything in it does matter and really understanding it. Whether or not you reject this belief no human can be a true nihilist, if one were they would lay down, stop moving, eating, drinking, and die. I believe that actually understanding the universe is pointless takes so much energy that it's hard to do that and other things all at the same time. You get swept up in the moment and forget it for a while. It can be depressing and it can be calming and relaxing, it depends on how you look at it. We continue to do things because they feel good and we continue to obey rules because we understand consequence. I find nihilism very freeing. When you catch yourself thinking "why am i doing this if it doesnt matter" just really think about it. So many people go through their lives not examining anything. Live life to its fullest just because you can. Weigh the consequences don't just do something because you've been told. Good and evil don't exist...so what. If helping people feels good; do it. If being a selfish prick suits you; do it. Just remember there are consequences. And yes it's very close to anarchy, but in a nihilistic world anarchy isn't good or bad, it exists because it can.

      Pretty cool dream.

I had one about four months ago about black holes and white holes. It was something like you could go through a white hole and come out a black hole, but you couldn't go through a black hole and come out a white hole. Kind of felt like a black hole was a universe or something and a white hole was a doorway.

      Was weird and somewhat confusing.

...that sounds amazing. I found an article on Stumbleupon a few days ago about some force outside our universe that is pulling ours outwards. Sounds pretty crazy. If I could LD, I would do what you did.

Very cool dream. Only once have I done something anywhere close to that. I was out in space and I just stopped. I had some sense about me, or I asked to see the WHOLE thing. Like that sort of, whether I said it out loud or in my thoughts. Then I was looking at what any hubble long-exposure would look like, but for some reason it felt immense and huge. Then I thought to myself, "I can't possibly be looking at more than HALF of it." As I was sure that if I turned around I would see the same thing in the opposite direction. And that's when I got this sick feeling. I wasn't very tied into the dream, it didn't feel that real etc. that's probably why it didn't totally freak me out, but it did get to me a little for a few hours.

Nyrawake: About Nihilism. I think on some levels things matter, and on some levels they don't. Everything in existence has a purpose. But that purpose may or may not be "necessary." So while it may have a stunning and beautiful purpose, that purpose may not be objectively or ultimately required. Wanted? yes. Wanted dearly? Sure. Desired, etc. by the ultimate.

Even I became a little crazy reading that. You need to talk to someone!

And about that "good and evil doesn't exist" shit, that is purley bullshit. You talk about it like something that floats around there. It isn't. Good and evil is something basic, what we feel, what we live after. If you do bad stuff, which is evil, you are simply evil. It affects you. and the way people look at you, and it doesn't have anything to do with multiple universes or any shit like that.

Hitler was responsible for millions of lives lost. Don't come here and say that wasn't evil, because it doesn't exist, it is simply not true.

Also, nihilism is very damaging to your mind. It makes you crazy. Of course there is a purpose with life. If you don't belive in God, then you must have something else to live for, why else would you keep moving? The meaning of life is whatever you decide for yourself, what matters to you. Walking around and saying that nothing has any purpose, is just dumb.

      That is your own opinion....
Also, people could rule Hitler crazy (used as an example...), would that make him evil? Crazy in a sense that he doesn't know what he's doing....

OT:This dream was actually really interesting. I didn't "live" through it, so I can't say this without a sense of doubt based on other things you said, but I would actually kind of want to have a dream like that. It seemed... interesting to say the least...

      Reply to Filimonki:

If that is in response to my post, I know it was a little garbled. I thought the same when I first re-read it, but figured it passed.

I do believe in God, I just don't believe he has to do anything. If you define everything as necessary then you are saying God has no choice in what he does. It's not me that's disrespecting him it's you. Tread carefully! I would rather things exist out of love than out of need, but that's just me. And yes I do think everything has a purpose. But that doesn't mean God would die if everything didn't exist.

I'm one of those who had to make this experience in waking life due to psychological circumstances. It was scary as hell to assume nothing was worth anything anymore, thank god it was just a short period of time I felt it...

Well, even if you dreamed about existence just being existence without sense and without any goal to live for, just ask yourself with what do you hope to fund that thought. You may have seen the universe or might have thought to see it as it is, but how could you be sure the omniverse (just to call it that way) is all there is? If you are about to take that dream as a revelation of some kind, than you're admitting that there is something that gave you the opportunity to spot that revelation, which brings you back to the simple questions you started from in the beginning: If the universe is like that, who or what made it happen? Why do I know? And thus you actually became a bit more wise, but not more knowing.

I find it almost exciting!, as I agree with lots of aspects of exsitential nihilism, That we're pretty lucky to even be ABLE to start to think about the nature of the universe. We live for such a short time in comparison to the universe that we barely fill a nanosecond... So the only thing there is to do is to enjoy beauty as we perceive it and enjoy it while we're here.

and @Peterdreaming, That made my head hurt a bit... I wouldn't mind having a dream like that myself, perhaps it would put things into perspective.
