Lucid Dream hypnosis CD's, they work??

I was considering getting one of these to boost my progress.

Anybody out there uses these or tries, and if so, do they help?

I think one of my main concerns is that the CD's don't have destructive subliminal crap...or I'm just paranoid.

I found the Hemi-Sync lucid dreaming audio series is good for relaxtion and visualization. It could very well help you.

      One Question for you.
      Is your name Rick?
      Is your name Arick?(AirRick)

My name is Arick so I'm curious.
Just because you aren't paranoid. Don't mean they're not after you.

I just started using a Lucid Dreaming CD that combines hypnosis, brainwave entrainment, and split-ear subliminals.

I bought it from this website: http://www.brainwave-entrainment.com/brainwave.swf

His shopping cart system is kinda messy, and there was a short delay in my order being shipped, but when I asked the guy about it, he apologized and gave me a free copy of his online Lucid Dreaming Manual (125 pages) that he normally charges $10 for, to make up for it. And my order showed up the next day anyway, a total of 8 days after my purchase.

The CD is called: Series XI: Lucid Dream Hypnosis. So far, I'm pretty impressed. I have a bunch of profressional hypnosis CD's and this one puts me into trance faster and deeper than any of the others I've bought before.

About 5 minutes or so into it he suggests that your eyes are stuck shut and you can't lift your right arm, no matter how hard you try, and by golly he's right! At least for me, and I normally am not that susceptible to "controling" suggestions like that.

Anyway, his method is different than traditional hypnosis in that he's not just feeding a consistant script of suggestions, but also teaching you how to adjust your consciousness. The brainwaves plunge you into alpha and theta (deep relaxation) and then when he introduces triggers words for becoming lucid, he ramps you back into Beta (awake and alert) state, while your body is still deeply relaxed. So it simulates a "mind awake, body asleep" condition and your mind remembers it which seems to make it easier to re-create after you go to bed.

Another good thing is you can hear all the subliminals at the right volume, but they are coming from 3 different "places" in your headphones simultaneously, so they still bypass your conscious mind but nothing gets through that you don't "know" about if you're paying attention.

Also, unlike most hypnosis Cd's, you really don't have to focus constantly on his voice to stay under. You can just relax and be aware of what he's saying, but not have "do" anything like normally hypnosis. The brainwaves do most of the work for you.

So, I guess the big question is whether it gave me any lucid dreams yet. Well to be honest, no. But I've only been using it for 4 days now. And I have dreamt about lucid dreaming every night since I started, and I've come really close to going lucid more than once. And I haven't used a Reality Check or a Dream Journal in months. I honestly feel it's just a matter of time if I keep listening to it every day. (but just to help things along I decided to start up my journal again...)

And as for drawbacks, one thing is this Cd is 70 minutes long and once it starts I feel compelled to ride it all the way through. It's hard to just "get up" from a deep state of hypnosis, especially when it's re-enforced by brainwave entrainment. And he doesn't include any instructions with the Cd, but I assume it works best if used daily for at least a couple weeks if not longer.

Also, and this is just me being a perfectionist, a couple of his suggestions seem "incorrect" for proper hypnosis like "You must not lose your awareness." Most hypnotists know that the subconscious doesn't respond well to negative suggestions. If you don't believe me, just try not to think of this pink elephant here....

Other than that, I'm really happy with the Cd and will probably use it daily for quite awhile or at least until I can drop the training wheels.
