Post Wanna be in my book? I want you to be in it too.

First off a little introduction. I'm a 24 year old Romanian who writes books in English. So far I've written two, with many more on my mind, and the next one will be centered around Lucid Dreaming.
      Why?
Because I think Lucid Dreaming is an amazing topic that should be known by a far greater number of people that it is at the moment. As a lucid dreamer myself, I can't help but want to spread the word
(For more information on my previous books, just P.M. me here - I don't want to link them or say anything about them because I'm not here for advertisement, I'm here to ask for help.)
The book will be titled "The Oneironauts" and it will be centered around the life of my main character who will use lucid dreaming to...
Now, some of the dreams in the book will obviously have to be "made up" to serve the advancement of the plot, but I would love to use real dreams and experiences from the real Oneironauts to attribute to other characters in the book.
So what I ask of you is this. Send me an e-mail to [email protected] with how you found out about lucid dreaming, what technique you use, and 1 or 2 of your favorite lucid experiences. I will choose as many of your experiences as I can, and mention you in the Dedication, on the first page of the book. Of course I will ask for your permission before doing so.
Remember, the more detail the better.
Looking forward to your e-mails guys. I want to finish the book by June 22 or so keep them coming.

First off, thanks to those who have gone through the trouble of e-mailing me, but I was expecting more, perhaps naively so.
Let me mention that yes, I know about the dream journal section, and while there are some amazing dreams there, I can't really go through all of them, and can't know which was your favorite, or how each of you stumbled on Lucid dreaming. So my request remains as it is in the first post, with the modification that you can post it here as well, and make a proper thread about it.
So... how did you find out about lucid dreaming? What technique do you use most often? And 1 or 2 of your favorite lucid experiences. (don`t be shy on the details)

Hey, I'm cool with this idea. Here's my info, since I'm a bit busy to open up GMail and shoot off an email to you:

I found out about lucid dreaming from reading this blog post by Vlad Dolezal, a life coach who has some very interesting insights to share, one of them being lucid dreaming. After reading this, I went on to spend a few hours (no exaggeration, folks) worth of material on lucid dreaming and the induction of such dreams, mainly on Dreamviews.com, which got me off to a running start with inducing them.

I use DILD and a variation of the MILD method to induce lucid dreams. Some impressive lucid dream experiences I've had include the following: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...=6#post1433755 and http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...=4#post1385449

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.

Thanks for the reply Clyde, read both your dreams and loved them Right now I'm just collecting dreams and doing experiments of my own but you've been saved in my "The Real Oneironauts" Word file
Before I begin writing the book I'll let you know and ask you a few questions ( something along the lines of "Are you ok with me using your dream in the book" etc.)

      Hey Azuraos,

That's really cool, if you write this book and publish it, or whatever writers do, I would love to read it.
You might know this already, but some great song writers, artists, and authors find many great ideas in lucid dreams that they incorporate into Lucid Dreams.
I have also read an example of this somewhere. It is a common misconception that the book "Alice In Wonderland" was brainstormed when the author was high, but in fact was written based on a lucid dream the author experienced.

Anyways, good luck with your work and I just wanted to share a little something,

Thanks for that tidbit. Ironically one of the characters in the book is going to be a writer obsessed with meeting the characters in his own books, and conversing with them. I won't spoil to much. And yes... I've tried it. But that's another story which I'll only bore people with when asked Thanks again.

Don't suppose there's space for a newbie is there? My email isn't working right now so I'll just drop it here.

I found out about Lucid Dreaming from a vlogger on Youtube called Reece Jones, he did a 3 part beginner's tutorial which lead me to do some further research. I stumbled onto this place eventually.

My one and only lucid experience so far lasted for about 10 seconds. I remember standing there in a car park and being suddenly aware that I was dreaming. I checked my hands and sure enough, they were warped. Unfortunately the dream was fading fast and my excitement woke me up. It was September of last year when it happened and I've only just got back into Lucid Dreaming.

I use DILD and MILD. I have tried WILD, but with little success. I can't keep still for long enough, hehe.
