      talking during lucids

This afternoon I took a nap to try to be lucid and when i ended up in my dream, I stared at my hands and said "increase lucidity and clarity." The funny thing about it is that when I said that, it sounded like I said it in real life as i did in the dream. I lost focus and showed up in another dream. Is it possible to physically speak while speaking in the dream world? Does anyone get what I'm talking about as well?

It's about as possible as talking during normal dreams I don't know the answer for sure, but I think you would have to be inclined to already be a sleep-talker. My boyfriend shouts things out from his dreams every once in a while. Usually just one phrase or sentence. Like one night, he just randomly shouted, "Great!! Now the electricity's gone out!"

I know I've "squawked" (should be a scream, but my voice is constricted) if I got scared awake. Definitely haven't talked though (unless my boyfriend is too heavy of a sleeper to hear it... then.. Lucky!).

Usually its very limited... Although when my best friend was like twelve, he used to speak at decent length during REM sleep.

I had a friend who you could actually carry out a conversation while he was sleeping. If you got close to him, and clearly stated a question and kept repeating every couple of seconds, he would answer you. We could go on like this for 10 minutes having a conversation with him before he would wake up. We video taped it one time

Same. We used to ask him questions too, and act like we were part of the dream. At least once it worked marvelously. I have spoke to a few people since during REM sleep - who remembered me entering their dreams.

Actually a great way to get lucid. It is pretty much the way it is done in the lab. While being monitored and communicating with the outside world. It's why we know lucid dreams are real, and not just dreams in which we dreamed we were lucid.

Traditionally done with eye signals. But if you got a sleep-talky person, who knows?
