      Newbie dreamers gives me inspiration....:)

Hi....just want to compare how seeing newbie's threads gives inspiration to other experienced dreamers. Like when I feel that I have exhausted my ideas or will to lucid dream....I find reading newbie's thread helpful. Helpful because I think it reminds me that lucid dreaming is a very special experience and seeing their high energy level brings me back to the beginings...not to say that I can lucid dream at will but more like it's become more of a struggle than anything.

I feel similarly, maybe not so much with the newbies (as I've already done my share of helping newbies many years ago), but about reading some of the more adept lucid dreamers who are so youthful in mind & spirit & still also in experience. I particularly enjoyed reading the "dare the poster above you" thread which I found delightful in its playfulness. It is like watching wolfpups as they learn to grow & venture away from the den, chasing each other around in a game of tag as they explore and expand their territory. This is almost as good as watching the nature channel. (I'm just kidding, ok, it's at least as good...)

Being a newb to something is usualy the best. Because it's new and fresh and an adventure. And with lucid dreaming it is just amazing and awesome when you first get into it. You start to imagine what you are going to do in you first lucid. Then when your first lucid comes you usually wake up within seconds of becoming lucid. Little do newbs know how much time it takes to master lucid dreaming completely. I started like 2 years ago and i still haven't mastered dream control.

Yeah, I think the people here are very inspiring. I have been having LDs for a long time, but the past few years I sorta got out of it. Now that I want to get back into things it helps to hear the stories from the newbies because in some ways I feel like a newbie myself (in the sense that things are new again). It seems like a really nice group of people here. The veterans helping the newbies, and the newbies helping the veterans.

Totally agree, there was so much wonder and excitement towards lucid dreaming when I first started learning. Still enjoy it now, just the buzz about it has gone.
