      Wierd...?

Ok i have already said i put down LDing until Summer Vacation but i still get LDs every once and awhile. And every time i do become Lucid and my DCs know about it, they attack and wake me up. Every time i see something wierd and i want to do a reality check i find myself looking around to see if anyone is looking and when i feel satisfied i do my RC. What usually happends though is that i do my RC and I relise i am dreaming. Then usually yell it out because i am excited. Then all the DCs around me say "He is awake, GET HIM!" Then they jump on me and strangle me until i wake up. I feel uncomfortable knowing now that all my DCs know it is a dream and are trying to keep me ignorant of it. This could end up being a problem when trying to LD. What if this gets out of control and my DCs succeed in keeping me ignorant.

What is up with this. I think it could be because of stress and what is going on lately. I lately feel the whole world is against me (that might be it). I am confused in what my beliefs are. I find myself questioning every thing around me. I have a sence of impending Doom. I have fully relised that everyone ends eventually. I used to comfort myself with that problem by saying to myself "I am young" but time is going by fast lately. And i am not sure what comes after death. Nothing, Paradise, Reincarnation... ETC.

I am always afraid that this will happen. I have a strange fear that the characters in my dreams are trying to 'keep me ignorant' as you said. However, every psychology article I have read pertaining to lucid dreaming (sorry, can't remember any sources) has suggest it's use in helping people overcome both waking fears and nightmares. Remember that you are the master of your dreamscape. Recite an affirmation or mantra before bed reminding yourself that you are not just massively powerful in your dreams, but are essentially THE massive power in your dreams. All things in your dreams must bend to your will. Try to remind yourself of this often, and if anybody in your dream tries to attack you for becoming lucid, simply beat the crap out of them. Be creative, if they dogpile on you, then explode or catch fire and destroy them. Hell, call down hellfire missiles from the sky, or summon creatures to help you fight, remember, you are invincible in dreams if you want to be. Your imagination is the limit. I would also recommend searching the net for articles relating to using LD's to help overcome waking fears, nightmares, etc. Hope this helps you out. Good luck.

Just because you want something to happen, unfortunately it doesn't always come true In that case, just keep trying. Don't let these experiences deter you or make you any less excited to become lucid. Keep in mind that nothing kills dreaming quite like stress, so relax and try to enjoy the progress you've made so far. At least you're realizing that your dreaming.

If you want to take a less violent form of retaliation, I'd recommend a few things:

      1. Freeze the scene - Tell everything and everyone to "STOP!" It is your dream and you decide what happens, so make everyone stop until you can talk to them or run away or set up some way to protect yourself. Then when you feel comfortable, let everything resume.

      2. Set up a shield. Place a large invisible box around yourself which your DCs will be unable to penetrate. From the safety of your barrier, decide upon a plan of action and then do it.

      3. Transport yourself somewhere else. Find a door and go through it. Close your eyes, clap your hands or snap your fingers or whatever, and then open your eyes to a new place free from vindictive DCs.

The biggest thing, I'd say, is to be creative! If you think some plan of action might work, even if it sounds crazy or dumb, try it! You'll find that often the first thing that pops in your head will work just fine. If you get the urge to throw a balloon full of glue at your attackers to stop them, do it. Don't limit yourself.

Overall, come up with a plan before you go to bed. Decide that when you become lucid, if (not "when") your DCs start to come after you, you will do X, and if that doesn't work then you'll do Y. Go over the plan before bed and then act on it if the situation arises.

I hope you find this helpful. Just keep trying and you'll get it Sweet dreams!
