euphoria whe meditating and a question

I was meditating yesterday (I meditated twice, well, a last time but it was very short) they were about 25 mins each (the first two)

during the 2nd time, it was more like I was trying to fall asleep, like my mind when to thoughts then i couldn't remember what i was just thinking, and I wasn't really consciously "choosing" my thoughts, I went to my "happy place" and visualized myself meditating, I tried to summon my spirit guide, higher self, and it was a cloaked figure (the first time i did this it was just a figure of light) and i couldn't see its face. i don't know if it was a spirit guide or higher self. i would ask it questions, and notes would fall from the sky saying yes or no...i could tell when i created the answer or when i didn't

at one point i felt a rush come over me, my heart began beating super fast (I could feel it) and my face began twitching, what was this? it lasted about 20 seconds

also, what was the cloaked figure?

another question, how do you stop inner dialogue

I don't know anything about higher selfs or spirit guides but its sounds like a pretty interesting meditation experience, I wish my meditation sessions were as exciting. Ive felt the rush or euphoria while meditating and I usually try to ignore it and keep focusing on my breathing but sometimes it distracts me enough to where I stop. I also sometimes get energy rushes in my legs particularly my thighs, it doesn't hurt it feels almost pleasant but it nonetheless distracts me. Also I personally stop inner dialogue by focusing on my breathing.

Do you feel its symbolic that your higher selfs or spirit guides face was concealed?

Hehehe, you don't stop your inner dialogue, it stops on its own when you immerse yourself in your awareness. Just focus on your breathing. Then, from what I hear, once you get really stable with this(you'll know when you get to this point) you can just be and let whatever comes into your consciousness come in. Thoughts, whatever. And Everything is transformed, whatever the hell that's supposed to mean.

Not laughing at you, just at everyone(myself included) because this is what everyone thinks when they start meditating. "I MUST stop my thoughts, then I will be enlightened!"

Though this doesn't exaclty sound like you were meditating as I do(though meditation is a confusing term, I practice zazen). This sounds more like visualizing. When you meditate you don't go to a happy place, you go to this place, right here, right now. Don't close your eyes, see reality, it's right here. There is no where else you can find peace or freedom.

157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

I sometimes get tingling in my thighs as well...I know what you mean ^^
hmmm I don't really know about the reason why its face was concealed, I feel like maybe I'm not ready to see it, that's just my intuition telling me that

well what I was trying to do, I usually don't visualize, but I did a guided meditation before and it was really good, it involved going to a garden type scenario with a stream and such...just peaceful, it helps relax me. I know what you mean how everyone thinks they must stop their thoughts, I meditated today and sort of stopped just by focusing on the air going in and out of my lungs
