You certainly are right about having to be relaxed, yesterday I meditated on a bit of hunger I thought I will try it this way as I always read you should not do it right after a meal but it didn't work well for me. I couldn't relax because I was thinking about food

.
I know, not to force it. But sometimes it is not easy for the beginner. I remember once I was trying to get LD, but on a day before I read that if you blink with your eyes while LD it will straight away wake you up. So OBVIOUSLY I blinked in that dream because I remembered it and really wanted not to it was like my mind was maliciously doing opposite of what I wanted

, kind of funny. So next time I figured that I will try to hold my imagined eye lids with my fingers and I did but guess what my eyes blinked anyway, I was so gutted! It took me long time to forget about this stupid thing and now even if I blink in a dream it doesn't wake me up. I guess it is just a suggestion thing.
Can you tell me, when you are meditating and doing your Om mantra if I remember correctly. Are you trying to keep it up even when you feel awakening starting to happen? what I mean are you trying to do it for whole "session" or when you get to the point when you are concentrated enough that no thoughts are popping in you stop thinking mantra.
