      What of convection determines the direction of the spin? I understand that the imperfect design of the wheel itself could cause it to favour a particular direction; however, whatever direction that is...what variable causes it to spin the other way?

      Another thing to remember with the psi wheel is static electricity, if your hands are staticly charged and you hold them near the psi wheel it can move the wheel. I'm not sure if static can effect things through glass. If you put it inside a glass container. I'm going to test this by staticly charging a balloon and running it past the glass container my psi wheel is in.
