Thread: Share your PSI Abilities!

I'd just like to thank Placebo, Kaniaz, BradyBaker, PsiMasta and a few others for being reasonable and logical about this whole ordeal. I didn't always agree with all of you, but at least you're starting the right way.

I'd like to thank the rest of you for pretending you're being reasonable and logical.

Haha, that one gave me a good laugh. Well Placebo, if you really are telekinetic, you should be very proud of yourself. (Don't be discouraged by all the new 'hip' psycics that can make psi-balls and electricute people and teleport themselves. . ) I think I really should explain something about my real feelings on all this stuff. Im not some raving sceptic who likes to drink black coffee, smoke ciggarettes, and gains pleasure by constantly trying to belittle and disprove other people's ideas. I dont 'hate' the idea of psycic abilities in fact it's really the exact opposite. Nobody in the world would like to believe in psycic abilties more than me. I love sci-fi movies, and the idea of being able to move, electrocute, and set fire to objects with my mind is very, very appealing. I'm skeptical because as much as I would like to, im not just blindly going to accept these things without some kind of proof. That would just be setting myself up for dissapointment. So if everything in this thread was true (besides teleportation ) I would be incredibly happy. But there is no proof, there isn't a way any of you could prove it without meeting in person. So there's my little soul delving... where's yours?

I was reading in a magazine the other day, and I would like all you psykics to know that there are rich people out there who are offering $1,000,000 to anybody who can demonstrate any act of psycic or paranormal ability. So all of you with your crazy psi skills should really go get rich right now.

I can lucid dream (or rather, always seem to lucid dream!)

I am reasonably sure that I have had an OBE and I think that I may be travelling astrally at times, I have had a few pregognitive dreams and even a 'vision', but I have never made anything move or told anyone's fortune or anything non-subjective.

It's all a perceptual thing. I am not sure that we all share the same distinct reality, but I know what rules work in my universe and pretty much try to conform.

PSI Vision- Had this as a kid, course it might have been halucinations, but i doubt it.
Shadow Visions- Those annoying ass Shadows you see out of the corner of your eye.

I don't mean to sound like a complete idiot, but unfortunately I am. Are we talking about psychic abilities in real life or lucid dreams? If it's real life then I think I can mind-read and predict the future occasionally. Usually what happens is something tells me that something will happen. For example I'll be thinking about a friend and I'll suddenly think they're going to move. (didn't really happen just an example) Then I'll think not about the actual moving but the effect it will have. If I can imagine them not being there and it seems to go with the flow of life then it will happen. Otherwise it won't, but usually when I have a random thought like that I check it by imagining both results. Creepy thing is it almost always is true.

The mind reading technique isn't too special. Once in a while I'll get a sudden flash of what someone is thinking. It will just occur to me and I know they're thinking it. Then if I say it they say, I was just thinking that!

I don't have very much control over either talent, but sometimes I can predict the future by using the checking technique which isn't as accurate. Example: I want to know how long a couple will last. I imagine them going out for a long time and a short time. The one I can see easier is the right one. Unfortunately, I can't see things that are really important to me like if I will go out with my crush because I am too emotionally involved. I can't step back and let it pull me into the right direction because I want so badly for it to happen. I'd like to improve both of these talents if I can. I know it would be extremely useful right now. How could I improve these talents?

True enough.

What you are talking about in that post is basic human intuition, not mind reading and prophecy. Anyone with an ounce of sense can do those same things. The human brain is a pattern analysis machine.

Wow, this part of the forum never ceases to amaze me. You all think you are a bunch of X-Men don't you? And since when did Lucid Dreaming become a "psi-ability"?

...and about that chanelling thing. You're a nutjob. 'Nuff said. Now, about the shield thing, don't go getting run over by trains. Some delusioned Russian guy several years ago thought he had the power to stop things by just thinking about it. He started by jumping out in front of cars and bikes (obviously the brakes did more to stop the vehicles than he did) and one day he decided he'd try a train. I'll find the account of the engineer later, but to put things shortly, the rails were covered with various fragments of him for a few miles. Not smart.

In general, if you guys believe this junk, good for you. At least I'm not the delusioned one. But don't go bragging about them--you're just asking for trouble. I call this the cup-testing theory. Tell everybody that you're wearing a cup, and eventually someone will try and test it, with or without your permission. So unless you want a proverbial foot to the groin, ready-or-not, shut yer yapper.

My friends and I used to know this girl who once said she could levitate. But before any of us could ask for a demonstration, she added that
"it only works when nobody's looking". How convenient. We nearly gave ourselves brain damage trying not to laugh.

This is an interesting thread. Its a bit on the long side, so I'm going to have to skip to the end but still, I'll play along...

I don't have any of things you guys were talking about accept good old human intuition. (6th sense?)

It's pretty much average I guess except when it pertains to one specific person. Several years ago when we spent a lot of time together I would often have feelings about that person so intense that it made me feel sick to my stomach. (Maybe that's where "gut feeling" comes from?) You always hear people saying they would think of someone and then they would call 10 seconds later. Well that was an understatment. In fact it happened almost daily. I haven't seen this person in years but I still fall into periods where thoughts of them are so intense they make me feel nauseous. This person has also been present in my dreams more than any other single person. Still to this day I dream of him more then the people I see daily. Just two days ago I had a dream he was about to tell me something only I woke up before I found out what it was. Yesterday and today I haven't been able to get it out of my mind and just an hour ago I received news about him. I don't know if there is a connection. I often wondered if he is remembering me during these times when thoughts of him are intense.


I have no idea what it is or why it's intensified toward one person. It may not be anything unordinary but I'll tell you, when the feeling is so strong it's like being hit by a truck, it sure does seem like something. I have tried to find literature about it years ago, when I first noticed it, but never had any luck.

this seems like such a fluffy post. Quite frankly, I don't blame any of you guys for not believing, especially if this is the thread your going from.

I gave up already trying to convince people of it because most people just aren't going to be convinced and most of the people doing it don't care if other people know because the other people just won't be convinced. Believe in it. Don't believe in it. I really don't care any more and I'm not going to argue with you. I've proven it to myself and that's all I can really do right now.

Whether I believe in these powers is irrellavant. However since many of you, according to this thread, CAN perform a lot of these abilities, I would like you to consider taking up James Randi's challenge. You could use the money or donate it to help develop this new field of science (or whatever it would be considered). It would be to everyone's benefit, especially those that believe in these powers.

I agree with Merck. Well, other than you'd better expect that I'm going to be outspoken about MY viewpoint.

If you can't give evidence for why you believe these things, why do you? I won't make fun of your beliefs--only question the logic behind them. If you can conclusively prove that these things exist, then I'll believe you. Hell, if you even put up a half-arsed argument, I'll consider it. But nobody here's really tried...They've just given the same excuse, one by one, that they'll just believe it themselves because they don't need to prove it to anyone. The fact is, science has been obscured by religion for centuries--and now the tables are turned. The only way that science triumphed was by provided tangible evidence that their beliefs were true. Whether religion (and witchcraft or whatever else you want to call it) is true or not, it's got a lot to explain if it wants to once again recieve the popular vote.

So, once again, I'm asking you all to own up. You believe in this, now tell us why. We've heard the "You don't have to believe it" before, so if that's all you've got to say, don't post.

Let me re-iterate my views. I believe in it, because of my personal anecdotal experience with it. As such, it is entirely subjective and unsuitable to be presented as any sort of evidence to you guys.
Hence I cannot prove it to you at this stage, and have no issue with somebody considering it to be rubbish.

ARGH! ANYONE CAN LUCID DREAM. It's no psi ability or whatever. And we've been through the others before---I'm still waiting for proof.

I just wanted 2 say i agree w/Tsen, LD can be achieved by anyone even if they dun' have "special powers" or whatever ur guys' special names are for it....'cause i can do it! & believe me.... there is nothing 2 "special powered" about me.
