Thank you so much for the welcome, CanisLucidus!
And thanks! Unfortunately this week I haven’t had nearly as many dream recalls as I did last week, but I won’t get discouraged! I feel the same is true for me for how you were at the start of Lucid dreaming, I’ve never really had much luck with remembering dreams! I’d say once a month was how often I could remember a dream, and even then it would be in bits and pieces, but since joining DV and being persistent, it is amazing how much the skill can be improved! To remembering a large segment of the dream!
I’m happy you say I’m on the right tracks! I did think about leaping into the deep end first, but dream recall and journaling really is important! (And my best friend is always saying the basics are important, which they are! Got to master the basics first!)
And yes, I do! I keep my journal by my bed, so the second I wake up and remember anything I can quickly jot it down before I forget! (Like if I wake in the middle of the night from a dream, I quickly write down anything I can remember!) And I do look through my journal before I go to bed, thinking things like: “I’m going to recall,” and hope for the best!
Are there any pre-bed routines that you’ve found work best for dream recall mindset?
Thanks again! Your words of encouragement definitely inspire me to keep going, and to keep trying!
