      Tom's workbook

Hello! So a quick history about my discovery.

In 2012 I was interested in dreams in general and made some own research. Google found DV and I came here and got interested in LD. After a year I had a first spontaneous LD and a semi lucid dream so I became extremelly interested in it.
Ever since the proper discovery a week ago I've had one successful LD where I was aware enough to feel the amazing feeling of it.

      Reality Checks:
      - Nose-plug
      - Text & numbers at smartphone

      Dream Signs:
      - Home and its surroundings
      - Relatives

      Short-Term Goals:
      - Be able to stabilize more properly.
      - Be able to fly & summon people (Dream Control)
      - Have longer LDs.
      - Talk to a DC properly [done]

      Long-Term Goals:
      - Have at least 2-3 LDs a week despite the school.
      - Master DILD (or WBTB + MILD) technique (mentioned below)
      - Experience at least once full control of LD.

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
      - In 2012 I kept dream journey for a while but I couldn't get successful LDs because I had some other problems that I had to worry about.
      - Now in August 2013 I started keeping DJ again. I can recall one dream fully & 1-2 other dreams with important keywords a night.

      Current Technique:
      - DILD + awareness (ADA) with RC.
      - (In addition I use WBTB + MILD to support and enhance the DILD technique.)

My school begins the day after tomorrow so I need to readjust my sleep cycles. I'm planning to change it from 00:00 - 09:00 local time to 21:00 - 06:00/06:30 local time. So far I can tell I have natural awakenings during 06:00 and both my successful LDs were during the period of 06:30 - 07:30.

I had two cases where I became aware, but the dreams collapsed pretty quickly.

First case was when I was driving a snowplough with a very tiny plow. I somehow became aware, but I woke up just before managing to stabilize it. That night I also had a few other dreams. One was pretty interesting and I was somehow naked with a few of my friends on a very large, open space. It was filled with mixture of grass, concrete ground and large, shallow fountains. Then again I'm from Finland and we have this sauna culture so probably that's why

Second case was when I had a false awakening and woke up after hearing something weird. I looked outside from my window and I saw my own car crashed to the wall and a loose trailer behind it. So I took a pool stick, rushed outside and noticed there were two muscular guys stealing stuff from our garage. At this point I didn't feel too sure and was a little scared too. Suddenly one of them sees me and they challenged me to a fight.

Instead of escaping from the nightmare I somehow managed to do a RC (nose-plug). I forgot the stabilization though because after doing RC I felt very confident. So I decided to fight back. I just pulled the pool stick with mind to my hand and started using 'magic' from a game called Mass Effect. In that game some people called 'biotics' can use their 'magic' to pull and throw people around, so I taught them a few lessons

I lost my lucidity at some point and then woke up after beating them. It was pretty exciting.

ADA has helped me to become more aware. I also tested WILD some point, it was almost successful one night. First I had problems with my eye, it just opened and I couldn't close it so it disrupted my WILD. Later I changed position and heard some weird noise, but felt asleep.

So yesterday night I read about mastering lucid dream and I figured out that the only rule in the dreans is there are no rules at all.

It was a longish dream, but I become lucid again probably to the ADA and reverse-RC I've been practicing. The lucid period itself was pretty short again despite the fact that I managed to shout I want to LD for longer. Anyways, something interesting happened. There was a car and its door was bent inside. I wanted to fix it, so I grabbed it and I could modify its length, height and so on. It felt pretty vivid too. I was actually expecting it to happen, and I managed to fix it. Then I somehow got my headphones to appear on my ears and after a few attempts I managed to set it play a song I was expecting it to play (Third Eve Blind - Jumpers). Then I experienced an FA, but the song was still playing, even when I really woke up.

School has been messing my sleep schedule so I'm not able to maintain a steady sleep schedule. For next 4 weeks I'm very busy due to high school finals, but I'll manage with the ADA and reverse-RCs. And I still have yet learned to fly

I again encountered a random DILD, I just became aware while sitting on my bed. Before that I remember I found a "Dream guide" notebook that reminded of my Swedish notebook for some reason. So I did a nose-plug and then I figured I should test the phone clock RC. I was wearing my underpants and it didn't have pockets, but I just expected that my iPhone was in my pocket so I just normally put my hand in the pocket and took the phone out. I activated the screen and saw some figures like 26:30 or something, then closed and opened it again. I did that 4 more times and every single time it changed. Then I recognized that my dream was fading and shouted: "No, I want to lucid dream", but unfortunately I experienced an FA. It was actually interesting because I slowly lost my lucidity, it didn't happen instantly.

I've also recognized some dream signs, my brains take plenty of examples from video games I've played (they include Mass Effect and Half-Life mod called 'Sven Coop').

Next step for me is pretty confident: I'm going to study about Dream control and attempt to master it. After all, it isn't that hard.

Had a DILD last night but a very short one, ended instantly with an FA. However the FA was interesting, it was actually something where I saw people experiencing FAs. Someone had a tyre on his lap too, not sure what that meant

Before the DILD I had very vivid dream, I was at some sort of Vietnamese spa with my friends. On another place I was driving my car and at some point I somehow teleported to the passenger seat, but I could still use the clutch. I also recognized a surrounding which was pretty much my neighbourhood, it had a lot of general detail.

Also a very interesting dream, I was driving at Helsinki during the night and one point when I looked at the sky it was very beautiful - the sky was filled with the northern lights phenomenon, but the colors were bright red.

Off topic: The final exam is pushing on and I haven't had time to focus on ADA and reverse-RC, but I'm still getting these spontaneous DILDS. On the other hand I think LD'ing has helped me on my studies so I'm looking forward for more LDs

Another spontaneous DILD (without RC), but I was really tired that night and didn't bother to write it down

I only remember some fragments about my dreams, and in one dream one teacher was telling me not to do something stupid. I remember I said (in Finnish) 'It's due to the lack of evaluation ability caused by sleep deprivation', in which the Finnish teacher responded: 'That's the point'

I had 2 LDs (both happened a few days ago) and both of them were extremelly interesting, I also managed to talk to a DC.

The first one when I was in a buliding that resembled my school. While inside the scene change into some kind of a hotel room, and the things reminded me of some dream I had a few years ago, which probably explains why I became lucid spontaneously. That night I set myself a task, and during the LD I had the feeling that I had to do something, but couldn't recall it. It's the same annoying feeling during waking life too, for example if you had forgotten something, but you know what was the thing you forgot (you can't just remember the exact thing).

So anyways I tried to remember the task, but I was interrupted by a DC shouting at me. I think it was my mom for some reason, but I was able to shut her off by adding a invisible wall. I summoned one with my hands and 'threw' it backwards, which worked. However the scene changed into some kind of computer database tunnel, and I was inside of a narrow greenish tunnel that had all of its lights and computer microchip lines. Then I experienced an FA.

However, that wasn't over yet. I remembered the LD in my FA (I lost my lucidity), so I began thinking of the small details. Some Finnish names were popping into my mind while I was figuring out the details. Then I suddenly got an urge to write them down, so I really woke up.

      - -

Two days later, during August 27th I had another dream. I was in some kind of large mall and was queueing to pay for the stuff I bought. There were a lot of people I knew, either from my school, my previous school, my other friends etc. At some point I had to move my dad inside a small room and he couldn't fit through because the door was so small. So I tried to teleport him inside or use my space magic and lift & push him through when I suddenly remembered two tasks: Learn to fly and talk to a DC.

So I quickly chose the latter one and began seeking a DC. I saw a bed with my mom sleeping on it. I ran there and asked the question, it was something like 'say 7 numbers from 1-39'. Then the interesting part happened: She said something about '3 to 4 bikes' and other nonsense so I couldn't understand it. Well I guess it's the dream logic. I tried to ask her again but just as I noticed that my dream was fading I woke up.

Well I'm one more step closer at learning to fly

Disclaimer: school wasn't that rough as I expected, but then again I have my finals in 2 weeks so my mind is quite distracted at the moment
