      Was this sleep paralysis?

So i've been trying to LD for months now unsuccessfully without a dream journal, but recently i read a post about how to achieve sleep paralysis and tried it. So it was bed time and i layed there trying and feel asleep like 5 minutes later as usual (if anyone has any tips on how to stay awake while closing eyes please tell me.)

      BUT

I woke up 5 hours later and tried it again, but this time i wasnt as tired, so i layed there still for minutes with my eyes closed but my concious fully aware, not tired at all. I kept laying there and laying there and suddenly out of no where, it got harder to breathe instantly. I kinda had some feeling of sinking in, but not much. This lasted about 3 minutes, and then everything went back to normal, i was just laying there with my eyes closed and still.

Was i about to enter sleep paralysis? What can i do to keep it going after the breathing thing instead of returning back to a normal state?

      Thanks!

Well dude, a dream journal is a must, that's a basic.

Second, there are many many awesome guides her in DV, you should take a look over them.

I can give you a quick guide how to get to WILD or DEILD (which has the sleep paralysis)

You almost accomplish it so go for it!!

1- You want to do this after sleeping for a while (such as 5 hours) It's very hard right going to bed. It worked for me but I can't recommend. In addition, later in the night / early morning your REM phases are longer.
2- Lay down comfortable and try to go to sleep, do not focus on Sleep Paralysis.
3- Focus in a plain image, such as a red circle.
4- Every time your mind wanders off, go back to your red circle.
5- Eventually, your mind will get bored, but you need to keep up with that.
6- You will feel some symptomps such as, sinking in bed, hard to breath, iciness, vibrations, DO NOT MOVE.
7- You will start to have hallucinations such as buzzings, images, whispers, voices, etc... ignore them
8- You will be in a dream fully lucid.

Good luck!!! This was a brief... always read the guides, they are very complete.

Btw... Raspberry, please provide something useful, saying just that does not help
