Hi,
First, i want to say how awesome it is to have a place to go where people of like mind gather to share their experiences. Not many people i know personally would share such a unique interest as lucid dreaming.

I first learned about the term lucid dreaming at 19 in college and quickly realized I had known of this kind of dream before. As a child and young teen I had more lucid dreams than i can count and actually taught myself many of the techniques i am now learning through the internet by experience. Initially I discovered lucid dreaming in a rather negative way. I would have night terrors constantly as a child until one night I finally confronted my night terror within the dream non-lucidly and when i did this i immediately become lucid. You can see how if one realizes a night terror is just a dream it would induce lucidity. This began a series of lucid dreams in which i conquered all of my reoccurring night terrors and continued lucid dreaming because of its pure awesomeness.

fast forward to last week. My first lucid dream in years occurred. I was watching a movie trailer for the film 'inception' (in waking life) which reminded me of my lucid dreaming. I decided i would lucid dream again. Three nights after that decision i finally did lucid dream. It was triggered by a dream in which i walked into a church. I no longer go to church and this particular church was in a city in which i no longer live. That familiar feeling of exhilaration and adventure swept over me as i realized I was lucid. The lucidity only lasted for a short time sadly but it has given me the ambition to regain my lucid skills and connect with others who would do the same.

So here i am, and im glad to be here! I hope to share more with all of you in the future.
