      Hai :3

"No similar threads found." That's cute :3

Anyway, hi everyone! I just found this forum and I'm a teensy bit overwhelmed... not only with the possibilities of living out a dream fantasy /o.0/ but also with all of the places to go on the forums and the website... How to's, dream guides, dream journals, WILD, DILD, dancing bananas, spiritual discussions, astral projection, lucid dreaming classes, and a la-di-da-di-da.

I'm sure I'll find a spot to chill eventually, but for now, why don't I introduce myself. My name is Ben... I live in San Luis Obispo, California, and while I'm not unfamiliar with the concept of lucid dreaming, I've never seriously tried it and therefore have never had any success. I'm often under a great deal of stress due to work, school and family, and I have terrible dream recall... if any at all.

I enjoy writing stories, drawing, and creating music, although I wish I were better at all three. I also love being surrounded by nature and animals on an almost spiritual level, I suppose you could say. I'm nonreligious and searching for answers in this big ol' world of ours.

My favorite TV shows are Desperate Housewives, The Office, and Arrested Development.

My favorite movie is a tie between James Cameron's Avatar and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.

And my favorite video game is either The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Super Mario Galaxy 2, or Elite Beat Agents.

My self-expression is rather... Disney-esque. My drawings are inspired by french impressionism, very bright and pastel, and my music draws on the beauty of base emotions and primal feeling. I'd love to share some of them with you someday.

I'm just looking for a warm and inviting community that could help me develop recall and dreaming ability. I think it would be a fantastic and helpful mental outlet for me, and I would be forever grateful. I'm willing to do whatever it takes, and to commit for as long as I have to... I think this could change my life around.

Anyways, it's late and I've gotta get to bed (=D). I look forward to meeting all of you, and taking part in sharing experiences and participating in classes and everything :3

      ~Ben

Well then, you've certainly found it. I find all of the people here to be most helpful. My only real complaint is that the forums can be a little slow compared to the gaming forums I'm used to.

So did I, less than a week ago. Just last night I recalled at least three separate dreams, and four dreams two days ago, depending on how you slice it. Get that dream journal going and trust me, you will remember more dreams per night than ever before.

While I don't think Avatar was the best movie ever, I honestly do not see how one could ever compare it to Lemony Snicket.

Ah, Zelda. Wind Waker was awesome, no doubt. I enjoyed Majora's Mask. I liked the depressing tone, as it's something I don't seem to see very often in games.

Nice to meet you Ben! I hope you can sort out your overwhelmed-ness soon enough! If you ever need help, the forums are a wonderful place!

Ah... I'm a bit of a tech junkie, and on the technical side Avatar was inspiring. Plus I love movies with anti-war themes.

And A Series of Unfortunate Events has just perfect showmanship from beginning to end :3 I love the ending scene with the letter-reading and the car driving off into the distance. Gets me every time!

Hi Ben I think if you stick to it, you can do it! I used to be really into lucid dreaming, had one lucid dream, then fell out of the habit of keeping a dream journal...and lost it all. =/ Oh well. I have faith, I do!
