      Smile Hello, everyone

I Stumbled Upon a "how to lucid dream" video about two nights ago. It was one of the salt cube videos and watched the first part and thought it was very interesting. I had looked up lucid dreaming before but I never got as far as I have now.
I have had lucid dreams before. I don't remember the count, but I'm sure it's not more than five in my life time. The first time I was reading up on it, I just found the dream journal stuff and decided to give it a try...but me being me gave up on the first night. I don't really have much self control when I'm so sleepy, haha.

I have a pretty decent dream recall. My first attempt last night and I recalled about four different dreams. They're not all in such great detail, some better than others. Sometimes not right away upon awaking, either. Something might happen throughout the day that triggers one of the dreams I had the night before. I was going to attempt the salt cube timer, but I was so sleepy and disoriented that I kept thinking that I wasn't falling asleep in time for the first beeps. I think I was maybe too anxious.

Sorry for the long introduction!! Are there any pointers to cue dream self into doing a reality check in the dream? I can't seem to go as far as that. I'm only attempting DILD because WILD seem far too scary and out of control for me at the moment. Maybe once I'm more experienced.

I hope all of you dreamers can help me out and maybe I can eventually do the same!

      Wellcome !
With the DILD technique, soon or later you'll do a reality check when in a dream, just keep with the technique and the dream journal, you are in the best way.
It's good to start with DILD, I think it's the best technique to start with.

I was thinking that maybe tonight I'll use an aid...like Mugwort. Has anyone attempted it before? Mugwort is supposed to induce very vivid dreams. I have successfully had more vivid dreams with mugwort before and it helps with dream recall, but I haven't tried with the intention to lucid dream.

The first step in fact is to read everything you can about lucid dream...To know every technique even if you know you can't perform them yet.
Keep writing every dream in your dream journal. When you got enough dreams, you will discover your dreamsigns.
