Post Hello everyone, this is my first post!

I just wanted to introduce myself since I'm new here.

I'm 17 years old and I live in Germany. I've been aware that there's something like lucid dreaming and tried it once a few years ago, but I wasn't patient enough for it.
Now I read about lucid dreaming again and it really fascinates me.
I want to be able to dream the things I want and therefore I'm really happy that I found this community.
I'm quite a newbie in lucid dreaming, having had a kind of pre-lucid dream already 2 days ago, which I couldn't stabilize.
That really motivated me and I'm in a state in which I can't wait sleeping again.

So enough about me. I hope to learn a lot here, meet new people and have a lot of fun.

At last I want to apologize for my poor writing since this is not my first language.

Edit 1: Let me add a first question. I don't understand how to do RC's in a dream, because my normal dreams are nearly every time like a movie, which I can't affect at all. It feels like I'm not myself. If I'm able to think in my dream there often has been a situation in which I thought "I want to do this or talk to this person", but my dream-body didn't respond to my thoughts.

      Regards,
      enco

Hi enco, welcome to DV Your English looks rock-solid to me, so far. Congrats on the early success and good luck with your future dreaming.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

It is hard to become lucid in those movie-like dreams where you are witnessing things in the third person. Maybe you can practice living in the present during the day? Practice staying more aware? It could transfer over into your dreams.

What do you mean by "living in the present during the day". I don't understand.
