      Having trouble with dream recall.

I have been on the forums for about a month, and trying to LD for 2, but I seem to have no luck with LDs. I keep a DJ, and I still have problems with recall, I can only recall 1 dream, maybe half of another, and on some nights none at all. I go to bed at 2:00 or 2:30 every day, but I still get 9 to 10 hours of sleep every day (Summer vacation). Why do I fail to have LDs and recall dreams?

What do you spend most of your free time doing? Do you take any drugs that could possibly hinder dream recall?

I don't take any drugs, not even caffine, and I spend a lot of time playing video games, and usually at night before bed. Is that my problem?

The human biological clock shows that around 7:30 you melatonin secretion stops and at around 10AM you are at your high alertness. Try a different sleeping schedule for 2-3 days and see the results. I also played like a madman a year ago, but it didn't affect my dream recall.

Do you naturally wake up or you set the clock or something? When my father stomps into my room, I feel lucky if I'm able to recall anything at all. Try not to think about anything else when you wake up. When I wake up I write down some fragments fast, then I do my DJ chronologically backwards if possible, since I can retrace my steps that way.
