The first thing to do is to improve your dream recall. |

LD's: 171 (133 DILD, 2 WILD, 36 DEILD)
Nights in a row with atleast 1 Lucid Dream: 3
Most dreams remembered in 1 night: 16
Dreams recalled: 1308
Thank you very much! I hadnt even realized that I was getting ahead of myself. I should probably be able to remember my dreams before I try to be "in" them. XD |

reere has got it on the nose, start by improving your dream recall first for sure. A technique that really worked for me was to use keywords. Just setting the intention to remember your dreams right before bedtime will make a difference. When you do remember a dream(s) go through it in your mind as soon as you wake without moving the body (this will make a big difference) and then write down every detail you can possibly remember to exercise your recall muscles. When you've had a little bit of success there you can begin to maybe just right down some key words to jog your memory later at time when you've normally forgotten your dreams altogether (that is you if had not written them down). Later in the day come back to your key words and try and recall the details. I found with this method that I quickly began to remember so much and so many dreams that it became too cumbersome and time consuming to write them all down. Keep in my mind that I like you remembered little to dreams whatsoever when I began. |

For your recall I recommend getting some sticky notes and putting them RIGHT by your bed. Like the first thing you see in the morning is the sticky notes. On them you should put something like "DREAMS...what do you remember?" Think about it long and hard. Don't do anything else and make sure all your focus is on dreams. If you wake up by an alarm then the alarm can distract you from remembering your dreams. |
