      The new guy

Hello Dreamviews! I've been a long time reader and had moderate success in the past few months with lucid dreaming. I've never felt the need to register before as I predominantly use the WILD technique for it's ease of use and its low commitment style and there really wasn't much for me to contribute, other than to express my thanks.

However, now that I've sampled the fruits lucid dreaming has to offer for a while, I want to go deeper! Instead of just having a lucid dream "when I can be bothered" I'd like to commit to having at least one per day, and I feel being part of a nice little community like the one you have running here will give me the willpower and, hopefully, the support to do so

I look forward to getting to know you all!

Now where do you keep the toilets?

I like your enthusiasm! to DV, ArcticDreams!

To lucid dream every day is my goal too!

Grab a chair, sit down, make yourself at home.

If you think that was enthusiastic you should have seen what I was going to write! Thankfully I've learnt from my experience at another forum to monitor my motor mouth, for the risk of being told I'm "TLDR".

Thank you for the warm welcome Out of curiosity, how close do you think you are to being able to have your daily lucid dream? And how long have have you been working towards the goal for? I'd like it if in a year from now I can comfortably say I can at least have a biweekly dream, haha.

I'd say I'm somewhat close. I've been working for a year (on and off) but since 4 months ago I've actively been practicing dream yoga.

It's really hard to say how close I am. Over the past 6 days I've gotten 5 lucid dreams. I think the best thing to do is just to always keep on going and not think so much about it

Haha @ tl;dr. I'm glad you wrapped it up nicely

Dream yoga eh? One of the many things I'll be looking up during my stay here I suppose, haha.

That's really impressive, I'd say by the sounds of it you're getting incredibly close to your goal One thing I find really enticing about lucid dreaming, other than actually dreaming, is that you can never run out of personal achievements to strive for. Once you reach the quantity of dreams you're aiming for then you can try to increase the clarity of your dreams, or the amount of control you can exert over them. Call me sad, but it just kind of fascinates me how far you can seemingly push the whole concept.

But I digress If anyone has some recommendations for any particularly spicey guides then leave me a message. I'm particularly interested in MILD and DILD right now, but I don't particularly want to overload my self with knowledge unless I know it's the right knowledge.

A great direction to all the newbies including me. Reading a lot won't help us. Good said "Useful Knowledge that counts"

Not sad at all! This is exactly what keeps me motivated!

I have a feeling you'll start hoarding lucids in no time.
