Was I just lucid?

I was taking a short nap just before I posted this. In the dream, I was where I was napping. I was kinda on my bag and my legs seemed to be floating up by themselves sorta (of course I thought I was awake), so I decided to pinch my nose and do a breath test, as I've been trying to reinforce the habit. To my surprise, my nose worked fine, and I realized I was dreaming! However, this is where I get unsure. After that, I stood up and immediately my vision went black. After that I thought I woke up, but I was just in another dream in the same place, except I think I'd lost my lucidity. Is it possible to deteriorate from a lucid dream into a different, regular dream? Or am I imagining something?

I'm just sorta doubtful cause I only started recording my dreams a day and a half ago, and I thought I had another dream after it started going black, though now that I think about it that dream felt awfully unstable as well, and it only lasted a minute or so. This whole process seems pretty crazy to me, seeing how it's really all in your head, and I can't wait to get better at it! EDIT: This is pure speculation, but I'm guessing this happened so quickly because the dream seemed to be an exact extension of what I was doing before I fell asleep, which was trying not to fall asleep on the couch I've been on all day. Having been trying to get into the habit of doing reality checks in this environment for a day or so now, I guess this was pretty much the optimal situation for me to do a reality check.

Yeah you were lucid, congrats. Most people don't last long on their first lucid. And they rarely remember to do anything cool. After this they will get easier, the more you have the easier it gets. Stick with it and good luck!

Stick with it and good luck! Thanks for the reaffirmation! It know it's just blind luck, but it's hard for me personally to believe in results this fast just because that's how I am. I know I still have a long road ahead of me, but it's an awesome feeling to be on my way. And yeah, I just didn't have the chance. I realized I was in a dream and my thought process was like "HOLY SHIT GET UP YOU NEED TO FLY AND GET LAID AND GO INTO SPACE AND WHY IS EVERYTHING GOING BLACK NOOOOOOOO"
