i heard if others read your Dream journal it may be easier for them to pick out the dream signs and maybe you need more entries. just look for common themes in your dreams i guess

As was said, write down more dreams and see what you can come up with. Look for similarities in dream characters, emotions, places, colors, sounds, etc. Everyone's different, so your DSs might be more or less obvious than someone else's. For me, the only recurring themes I have noticed in mine are that I'm usually in wide open spaces and around lots of people. Not all that useful, but again, everyone is different

Have you looked into reality checks much? If you haven't read the tutorial yet I'd take a look at it. Dream signs can help you question what's going on around you, but it also helps to just get in the habit of asking yourself what's going on. While you're awake, every so often just look around and see what's going on. Ask yourself some questions such as "Where am I?" "What am I doing?" "How did I get here?" and "Where am I going?" and if the answers make sense, you're likely awake. If the answers don't make sense, it's a good chance you're dreaming. Working on reality checks might be better for someone who has difficulty finding dream signs.

That's not to say you shouldn't keep your eyes open for common themes in your dreams. If you do find some, it will make it easier to question what's going on and potentially become lucid, but it helps if you start to get into the habit of checking your reality in the first place.

Hope this was helpful! Let us know if you have any other questions.
