I Recognized i was dreaming but was tricked by my conscious

I was having a dream, where i was handing out candy then some kids were jacking some and i chased one down and jumped in the air and went to check him but ened up grabing him and fliping him while throwing him off a hill, i then started to day dream about helping him incase he got hurt, and i felt bad. But then i saw him walking up a hill limping, and i recognized that this could never have happened and i realized i was dreaming then when i went to try and become more lucid or do a reality check, my Self Conscious tricked me and turned my dream into me waking up, although i never did so i completely forgot i was dreaming and then i just woke up.

      Is that wierd or anything?

I don't think it's too weird. When I first started LDing they were only a few seconds long. I would either get excited and lose stability or a DC might grab me by the neck and I'd lose stability. No worries, now I've had one that seemed to be a month long and just last night one that seemed to be three days long.

You knew you were dreaming. That WAS a lucid dream. It may have been a short one and you may not have gotten the chance to do anything, but it was a lucid dream.

You think that's bad, check this out:

This morning I dreamt I was in an incredible hotel room in India, with a panaramic view from 15 stories up. It was intensely vivid. The colors were so vibrant and everything was incredibly beautiful. I was looking out a huge window at trees with purple and blue leaves.

The funny thing is I thought to myself, "Hey, this is so surreal that I should do Reality Checks because I bet later on when I go to sleep tonight, I'll dream of something like this and I might go lucid." Then I forgot to do any RC's and woke up.

Hahahaha! Oh well, that's still a very good sign. Your daily interest in LD's are starting to follow you into your dreamscape.
